Let's look at an in-game situation. Here what we want to find out is can the King stop the pawn from queening this is always a problem in the end game. Now in this example we are not even using the black king we just want to count and see can the White King stop the black pawn.

Yea, I was having lots of problems with the resolution, I have a 1920x1200 resolution monitor, which is a pretty odd resolution. For some reason this was causing the blurriness, probably because of scaling or something. I spent like 9 hours trying to fix it, and eventually find out! So I repaired a old monitor that is the regular 1920x1080 resolution, and it worked out much better! So part 3 is much better in terms of resolution!
I made the project again, i made exactly what you made, but failed again. the player is teleporting down and going up, when he is not touching ground, the player teleports down. Why? edit: nvm i already fixed it :)

Amazing tutorial! A suggestion I have is to get the pictures (the character, obsticles, backgrounds, etc.) from the actual game so then it looks better. Thanks for this tutorial though!
I like it but can you make one video about using the score ( which is easy) and cloud varibles in this project for this game's history of the score by people played the project you made
like what i mean is like you can make different levels and make keep going forever and not say level finished restart and too see how much points the top hundred got like griffpatch's one

I am having major issues I know i probably did something wrong because i already followed your guide and everything went accordingly but i forgot to save so i had to do a new one and now for whatever reason its just spinning at the very top of the page and when i check on my coding everythings right so im very lost in what going on here, at this point my games a fidget spinner simulator. (I'm doing this for a school asignment btw so ned immediate help)
I am sorry for the late reply, but this issue happens because sprites rotate around the center of the costume. Make sure that in the costumes editor, the player's art/costume is in the center of the editor window. There should be a small cross in the middle, and when you move the art near it, it should snap in place!
I've coded for a while, and my jumping still has a problem. I'm trying to check over it, but it's hard since there are so many coding blocks. I'll let you know if I find the problem, I've found a few already, but I'm just telling you. Edit: I can't find the issue. It's okay though. My scratch glitches out sometimes.
6:21 There's actually one other time when player velocity is 0, when they are at the top of a jump. So, it's not going to work perfectly always. It's possible to jump at that moment, though I think with your case it is fine as you are using decimal numbers which go a bit weird due to floating point maths (so getting exactly 0 at that point might not happen).

yeah it also not working for me. My cube is on it's side, and when it spins up in the air it doesn't just go up vertically and land vertically, it moves to the right. I noticed the direction of my Player sprite is 180, but in your video it's 90. is that the issue?
Great tutorial! For some reason my game wont work though, it allows me to jump only when i press green flag, and the coding's keep flashing/shaking and wont let me jump, im only halfway through the 1st vid (this vid) but i just wanna know how i can fix it, everything i did is how its supposed to be I'm pretty sure at least.
go to his game click see inside then open your backpack and drag the sprites you want and go back to your project then open backpack again and drag the sprites into your project

Jumping isnt really working for me. When i put it to turn by 16 degrees it goes flying around the whole place.Someone please reply a suggestion.

This is amazing! My only suggestion is make your recordings a bit clearer because for me, its a bit blurry so I can't always tell what the blocks are.

Use 1080p quality! it shows everything clearly and zoom in a bit
mod means modulo in math which is the remainder of dividing an odd number
