I saw your video pop up and literally SQUEALED at how cute the thumbnail is. Got my coffee, my weenies cuddled up next to me with a warm blanket….I’m ready! LOL
Love the card. I am always amazed at your coloring. I am looking forward to retirement in a couple of months and will be learning Copic coloring. Always do what it takes for that annual shopping trip. My mom and I went to a crafting one and a sewing one (even tho I don’t sew) every year, probably about 20 years. Those were the funnest days of the year. I lost her two years ago and miss those day trips very much. You are blessed to have such a close family.
I know this is not your usual overall style, but I love it too and I’m glad you do! Great instruction as usual. I used to be a shop til u drop person too, but not so much anymore. It was really nostalgic tho for me to listen to u talk about your day with your mom & sisters. It’s been a lot of years but that’s something I’ve done before too. My mama passed a little over a month ago (at almost 93) and your story reminded me of the good old days. Enjoy all the moments!
I’m with you, not a shopper! I have a 3 store limit…..and I too am in and out! Love this Santa and the background - he is so adorable. I also agree about coloring - I really enjoy the process and seeing something that starts in black and white, come to life with all the color. So, so cute!!

I actually really like the splatter THROUGH the stencil on this card because it kept your delicious deep blue background clean. It’s such a beautiful contrast with the reds that way. You’re correct about the gray “turning” white upon completion. It’s fascinating. For me personally (you know, me with zero experience!!) I’d make it a tad lighter handed on the stash/beard because I love how less shadow looks on the cuffs. By the way, that ball on his hat is a Pom-Pom! 😉
And girl, it’s ridiculous how much we have in common….all that shopping SOUNDS fun, but ends up as torture! Ugh. Another Beaty Kelly. Would you consider doing this stamp with Zig Clean Colors? Maybe….🤷♀️💙💙💙💙

You need ring, or equivalent! It only rings on your phone, and it’s more like a wind chime tone. Much better for light sleepers!

I like the "new" style..LOL, just have to tell you that as I was watching today, my Scottie(one of 9 ), Bronwyn HAD to get up on the sofa and see what I was looking at. She loves your voice and was disappointed that all she got to see was a card. Her daughter also jumped up here with me to see what her mom was so enchanted with...so if this coloring gig does not work out I think you have a shot at voice overs on the Dog Channel ( and yes that's a thing).

I am having trouble with my ink blending. Brand new Tim Holtz mini distressed ink, and blending pads. I started with my violet, into candied apple, and an orange (don't remember the name). The violet wouldn't blend AT ALL. It literally just colored my background a dark purple. I tried all the different pads I have to get these to blend. The background turned out OK, but I wasn't thrilled with it. I also only had a large piece of cardboard to place my background on for the ink blending. Is there a trick to "priming" the blenders?
love the card have a ? you use the mono glue and you will put iron the back of your stencils just wondering does it ever just dry or it always stays tacky

Your holiday shopping story is not as unique as you think. Pre-Covid my daughters and I would meet up with my girlfriend and her daughter and hit a big Christmas show in our area. Parkingwas a challenge, followed by weather, and WiFi in the arena. Vendors and shoppers alike had issues with the WiFi sometimes making the experience miserable. Best signal was always by the woman’s bathroom😅. I purchased this Santa and he’s been sitting in my stash because I wasn’t sure how to tackle coloring him. I learned a lot from your video and will challenge myself to stamp and color him tomorrow, when everyone is out of the house. I learned yesterday I dislike piecing die cut designs together, after several hours of cutting dies apart, sorting paper in various colors to match the designs, and I haven’t started sticking pieces together yet!
I don’t know how the view count works. If I watch your video 2 or 3 times does it count each of those as a view? If it does my next question is did you Coptic color in both of them? I know that I go back and watch a video again if I need help with a technique
