  • In this video, I explain how to fix the issue when the Yi Camera Won't Connect to the WiFi. If the camera fails to to the WiFi it's usually because of the wrong WiFi Band. Instead of using 5Ghz you can use 2.4GHz.

This did not help at all the title is misleading because you have successfully paired your phone and camera together. I have gone round and round trying to get brand new camera to pair it keeps saying password incorrect on 2.4 which is incorrect.

It's no misleading.... The cameras uses the mobile to pair because the mobile is connected to the 2.4GHz network. I'm sorry but you got it wrong and it's acussing me of misleading title for no reason. Please just make sure you are trying to connect the camera using YOUR MOBILE connected to tha 2.4GHz router, makes sure the password is correct, restart the router if it's still doesn't work or as the last resource try to connect to a differnt WiFi router... And remember, once again, your phone connected to the WiFi and your camera get the information from there... No more acusation please, I'm trying to help people as best as I can, testing stuff and recording the videos for free.

Most of the cameras can only connect to 2.4Ghz network (not 5Ghz). So use the 2.4 that is available in your router (all routers gave this option)

Check the type of security protocol the router is using WPA or WPA2… don’t use WPA3. Maybe that’s the problem.

Two weeks ago, I bought a set of 4. I setup one of them, it worked well, successfully.
Today, I work on the rest but none of them can’t read the QR code. My WiFi have the same, nothing changed since the first one setup.
Please tell me what could be wrong.

Try turn all them off and start adding one by one. I think one of them is messing up with your network and you need to find each one it is. I had a similar problem and could fix it by turning off specific camera (and then replacing it). Also make sure you mobile is connected to a 2.4GHz network (not 5GHz).

Keeps repeating "Wifi Connected" ... never moves to Pairing is Successful. Yes, 2.4 ghz.
AND ... there shouldn't be email nonsense to connect the camera ... AND ... NO, WE DON'T WANT TO PAY FOR SUBSCRIPTIONS
