I appreciate the free books going through cancer and this is awesome!
I have never had a story told to me in a way that made me so emotionally. I feel the anger I feel they're disappointment I feel they're sorrow This is just a great book thank you so much. I have to pick and choose when I listen to this audiobook because it makes me so emotionally invested and I don't want to walk around angry. Lol

I totally agree! Books one and two were amazing so I know three and four will be just as good. And she even took the time to answer some questions I had. I commented back and told her it made me feel like a giddy little kid actually being able to speak with an author that I truly admire. I'm hooked lol. She's definitely got a fan for life in me. I just can't wait for the EMP series to come out on CZcams! 🙌🏻
OMG. Just finished book 3 and oh my goodness what a great story. Know I don’t wanna give anything away for those who haven’t read the book yet but I love these characters and I love the action and the suspense cannot wait to start the next one thank you so much for making these books available

@@1theggy1 they are all complete and I couldn’t find anything else in the end of the world kind of series that I liked I am right now listening to a Highlander series and I love them but I’m always looking for end of the world series but not zombies I’m kind of sick of zombies I want something different than that I want something more mysterious something more challenging

I cannot believe the amount of frustration and really outright anger that I'm feeling each time they've had to deal with Randy and the emperors. It's crazy, but also really cool, to feel that invested in the characters. I'm telling you, I cannot get over how much I love these books! This is one talented writer! If you're debating on reading them, or listening to the audiobook, I highly suggest it. But it's such a great series. And I also suggest if you are going to read it, start with book number one, Pandemic. You definitely need to read them in order. But if these post-apocalyptic type books even remotely interest you, I guarantee you you will love this series. Even if you're not into that kind of stuff, I still think any average reader would love them. Just dealing with the whole dichotomy of family and friends and friends that become family. Toughing it out when you think you don't have the strength or courage to do so. Anybody could sit back and thoroughly enjoy these books.

I'm really digging this series. Especially since this is being told without the language associated with the genre. Not that vulgar language bothers me much , it's just refreshing. You've built the characters in such a way you get heavily involved in their progression and hope they don't die off. Watching this play out in my head is a joy. Thank you Ms. Kersey.

Omg!! I am so emotionally exhausted from this series, it's ridiculous. These books are crazy good and the narration isn't half bad either. However, I've got to say that I am truly amazed this group made it this far. They are incredibly naive and seemingly remain unable to adjust to life in this harsh, new world. Many situations could've simply been avoided if they'd just trusted their instincts. Instead they all unnecessarily question each and every single, little thing. It's infuriating!!! Along with the rest of the group prone to acting on impulse, I honestly think I have anxiety now too lol 😅😂
Agreed, even the combat veterans had that naive outlook. Usually men want to fix the problem instead of hoping to avoid something nearly sure to happen. And soldiers are trained to fix problems with a gun, and being good at it, thats usually one of their first choices.

I am a bit of a gun guy and completely enjoy that you're not over doing the details about firearms. Of course they are in the story but you didn't go overboard with over explaining calibers or types, etc. Often that leads to false info and gun nuts getting all upset over trivial nonsense. So thank you for going about that the way you have been so far.
Anyway the story is the important part and you are doing a great job there.
I've also been listening to Scott Medbury's series America Falls and Rabid State. This series has similar qualities as those.

The weather is more mild there than in Utah, and in the Central Valley, where they went, it's great for agriculture. Also, when I wrote this in 2019, California wasn't as bad as it is now. 😂
I was born in So. Calif 70 years ago and haven't lived anywhere else. Yes, it's expensive here and it has become much warmer but I cant imagine living anywhere else. From the beautiful ocean to the majestic sequoias to the colorful deserts to the centuries old missions to the greenest Valleys etc.. What's not to love?

Almost to the end but man; Why don’t they ever use the Machine Gun they got off the truck? Or the rifles they had- Seems like all they use are handguns despite the superior fire power they have

It's a great story, and provides lots of ideas for surviving a real life scenario. One of the greatest weaknesses of these "survivors" in the story is their short fuse. With more self control and more levelheadedness, things COULD have been much better for them. Another recurring weakness is a serious lack of covering all their bases.
