Once considered unbreakable, the women's 100m world record is now being challenged.
The question remains: will we see this record broken, and who are the contenders capable of achieving this feat?

It’s amazing that people try to downplay FLO JO ,the world’s fastest woman period! Especially not knowing her story. She had to work full time and practice part time and still accomplished this feat. And if she was in her prime today these women would still be chasing her. No positive drug tests period. But they say the same thing about Venus and Serena. I wonder what’s the similarities… GOATs…

      No.
Her drug tests were not always "clean".
The US team management, often covered up positive drug tests by their T & F athletes.
All the so-called world records from the 1980's should have wiped, decades ago.

You’re right ! They said the same thing about Serena. The haters always tract winners! They’re now doing it to Coco. Every time a Black woman from the US breaks any record, they speak against it. One group are racists, and the other haters have a slave mentality. The slave mentality is not bothered by Whites winning, they’re jealous of other Blacks winning, especially from the US. Both traits are rooted in Evil! They’ll be with us till Christ comes!!

      "Incredible" because of PED's.
Even with the latest 21st Century training techniques and understanding of controlled nutritional intake, 'shoe' and track innovations, did you never question why biological 'females', have never exceeded that sketchy 10.49 'record'?
Even spoon feeding people the obvious answer and reasons, remains beyond the comprehension, of many.

I have the link to the actual footage of them explaining all this at the time of the race. This information has been lost and twisted over the years. All people can remember is there was wind but the meter read zero. So, they assume it was a tail-wind and the meter was broken.

Could it be that Flo Jo was just that good, like Bolt, besides athletes today are not clean they just know how to stay within the limits. Even so, the women's records from the 100 to 800 set in the 80s will be eclipsed, but for the 100 it will difficult because of the 0.1 second reaction time rule, and no false starts rule.

"How did Shelly-Ann Frazer Pryce go from running high schools times 4 months prior to the 2008 Olympics and then show up running 10.7's an even greater time reduction than Flo Jo's 4 year training?* There's more questions about Bolt and Shelly-Ann transformations into world class sprinters than there should be about Flo Jo who was already know Nationally and around the world as gifted a sprinter than two nobodies who came out of nowhere to dominate the sprints.

*Flo Jo didn't get to run on Eugene's altitude and Haywards Field fast track, if she had on that day, that record would have been 10.35 - 10.37. On the other hand, Elaine couldn't have run 10.54 on any other track in the U.S. especially the Indianapolis track that Flo Jo ran in at sea level in 1988, because of that, Elaine's time isn't as impressive as Flo Jo's. @andredehaney7931 Před 2 měsíci +3

Yes I really think that they should anul Florence Griffith joyners time of 10.49 because it was wind assisted and over the limit. It was a windy day in Indianapolis and the long jump gauge read 4.4 ms a second. The best time that was legal from Flo Joyner was 10.61 at the US Trials 100 m quarter final. Flo jo also ran 10.62 with a 1.0 m wind in the qf in Seoul olympics 1988.
IAAF need to remove it now because this time is highly suspect. Elaine Thompson will have the world record of 10.54 set in eugene 2021.
If they keep that record of 10.49 it will never be broken for another 20 years. Not unless the woman is a transvestite.

    • @andredehaney7931
      @andredehaney7931 Před 2 měsíci +3

Flo jo best 100 m times that were wind legal are 10.61 s and 10.62 s.
These are the times that the three best female sprinters are running now albeit 35 years later. Elaine Thompson 10.54, Shelly Anne Fraser 10.60 s , Shericka Jackson 10.65, and Shacarri Richardson 10.65 and Carmelita Jeter 10.64 s. So the time of 10.61 from Flo Joyner was much more realistic back in 1988.
I think Elaine Thompson can run 10.53 this year if she does her strength conditioning training. She has a good coach in reinaldo Walcott and she is also training with Shelly Fraser price. They have seemed to have put their differences aside.
