You can see it on his face, he was in pain, emotionally and physically, and even though he was, he still fought so he could talk to his daughter one last time. This truely is one of the few videos that make me cry every single time I watch

This is one of the best of 911: Lone Star. I cried so much in this part knowing it’s nostalgic moment when I worked in the BPO but a different scenario though. I could feel the sadness and fear in that situation but knowing you can’t do anything but to help connect them via a phone call. 😢

The fact that he prepared her long ago that this would happen so she knew but still cried...this episode was so incredibly sad and heartbreaking and incredibly well acted and written.
I lost my dad when I was 17, watching this made me cry. That is an amazing dad, the show really captured his bravery, fear, and sadness and happiness at hearing their voices.

Because bad editing interferes with what you are trying to communicate: a poignant last conversation facilitated by a 911 operator between a dying astronaut who knows he will never see his wife or child again. The most important thing in the clip is the *conversation*, not the backing track. It's not a music video! But because of the poor edit, the backing track dominates.
Yes, with the subtitles I can understand what's being said. But the emotional impact is lost. So I posted some feedback, which the channel owner can heed or ignore as they wish.
@@StrixTechnica Most people put stuff like that on it or change the size of the video with another video added in so copyrights don't get it removed from CZcams. They actually put in extra effort so you have the chance to view this clip.

I’ve cried so many times in my life.. but never this hard. You should appreciate your parents. Also to always say “I love you” even when you have those bad days with your parents. You just may never know when it’s there last. This is the hardest I’ve ever cried. My friend (she’s 13) and she lost her dad a couple months ago. Every massive milestone in life of hers will be without her dad. Her wedding when her dad was going to walk her down the Aisle… always always treat your parents with respect and love. Do what they ask you to the first time without yelling. And always say I love you.

im crying so hard rn because this is relatble, my uncle was a astronaut and he was able to reach 911 then 911 aded my family to the call, i wanted to say hi i was 4 years old im now 12 he told me if my family ever needs a hand give it to them and that he will always be watching, he told me to look out the window and wave, then he said he was waving back, i asked him when is he coming home, he told me not for awhile and said he will always watch over me as the 911 operator was crying and so was my mom then the call broke and i never heard from him ever again, 5 years later my mom videod that call and i listened to it then i relized what happened then i broke into tears knowing that was my last time talking to him and i miss him so much💔💔

This really hit hard for me and for real. My wife Penny and I worked together as EMT/Paramedic partners on the ambulance for many years (decades).
We had to give death notifications and pass on dying declarations so many times. It was difficult and heartbreaking. But we had to do it.
Unfortunately, after 53 years of service, Penny passed away suddenly in 2020. I had known her for 43 great years.
I can tell you they don't women like Penny anymore. I love and miss you, my wonderful wife.
But life goes on.
