- Over the past few months I've shown you how to do certain moves, but in this video, I'm going to show you how to bring everything together in order to beat the hall of fame cpu in one on one situations, and bring those skills against users online!

Bro AI is RIDICULOUS. I’m here for the challenge the only thing that gets me is the unguardable 3 pointers smh. They don’t even need a lights out shooter to make contested 3s. They also juiced the AI shotclock countdown shots they will literally make the shot regardless of the defense u less u literally block the ball or foul

Game (2k24) ain't no good when everybody's defense is elite smh. Don't make any sense. You'll have a defender on you who is a terrible defender in real life, but locking you down like Gary Payton (Sr). If you ever notice some of the weirdest, craziest things CPU do on HOF. Like how quick they are able to shuffle their feet from left to right on defense man to man and you aren't able to do the same. How they able to recover very fast on defense, when you done blew by them especially smh. When you aren't able to do that either. 2k servers definitely set this game up to make you fail intentionally, that's what's the most frustrating thing about it. Is how they'll have the CPU playing so overpowering, while they have you playing like you just don't know basketball or don't know how to play the game. And really it's because you keep getting better at their game and beating their game, so they gotta make it more competitive. Like basketball in real life can only get competitive to a certain point. Like there is no reason of overpowering the game, players in real life don't be doing the things they do on the game. That just ruins the fun and the realness of basketball in the game. And it's a reason why 2k are losing so many people. Because they refuse to fix their game, it's alot of issues in the game. Don't get me wrong, I can definitely play the game, without shot meter at that. It's just, who wants to keep spamming the game in order to win. That ain't fun and that ain't basketball and it's why people play with top tier teams most of the time. Because of the advantages that superstar and star players have with the badge assets on the game. Low tier teams are very disavantageous and it's disrespectful to them. It's like 2k only cared about the popular teams.

This is all facts. I'd download some of the sliders. They help but like you said, the ai just does some ridiculous stuff on this game.
I'm inmy career with 5 min quarters and I average 17ppg with 6 apg but we are 13-10 it's not easy

The cpu in pc version is imposible ! They contest everything there’s no wide open shots it’s ridiculous
I will admit it’s allot better than last year with competition. AI in 2k23 was not good at all. It was easy for me to shutdown star players in iso situations, if u jab step u get an automatic wide open 3 because they drop back, I would smoke them by 30 or more every game it was very boring after a while. Now in 2k24 I was losing by 30 every game 🤣

The problem here is that you shouldn't have to play like an AND1 streetballer to break down or get past the defender. You should be able to use positioning, momentum, and your first step like Jordan, Kobe, or TMac to get past a defender from the triple threat position.
You're able to do that. I can't count the amount of times a simple jab step cross launch was more than enough to get me an advantage against the main defender. Beating the next help rotation requires you to read the defense though, and that's where it gets tougher for most

I have yet to see it. Theres was an animation where, much like kyrie, you could swing the ball low from a triple threat and use that to move around a defender. Very realistic, of course now using the defenders momentum is damn near impossible. Centers recover from head fakes and jab steps as though they were guards and guards all show up on defense like there all goddamn jrue holiday

I'm actually looking for ways on how to stop the HOF AI on defense in 2K24. For me, offense is not really a problem, as there are a lot of things you can do on that end. What's striking is that in the 2K24 HOF difficulty, you're basically way more handicapped on the defensive end. It's 10 times harder to defend the 2K24 HOF than the 2K23 HOF.
Here is why I think it's very hard to beat the HOF AI in 2K24:
- In 2K24, the Shot Coverage Impact is set at 30 and the Shot Timing Impact is set at 0, meaning that your defense is basically nonexistent, and the AI doesn't have to green shots to make them.
- In 2K23, the Shot Coverage Impact and the Shot Timing Impact are set at 50, meaning you have a bit of presence on the defensive end.
I've so far played 5 10-minute-quarter games in 2K24 at HOF difficulty and I won just two of them, one of which went to overtime. It's so hard to play.
It’s not even hard it’s straight up cheesy. They make 50+ contests and get the hardest hitting screens :/

My advice is to do exactly this, play whatever difficulty you like! The cpu offers a great challenge this year and HOF is basically the cpu cheating!

I find it easy to get to the basket but getting open on jumpers is tough to get down , but I realized that on HOF even a little space from defender , especially with their hands down or are shorter one you can make a jumper if it’s timed correctly
Yeah, it's one of the great new things about the contest system. Which can get a bit inconsistent, but when it works, it's really fun to find those moments where it's hand down, man down!

Hey Kevin do you know what freelance that the cpu usually uses? They have good actions with shooters running to the top of the key off a screen. And nice options on the wing cutting. I’m curious. I think some might be zipper but I’m not sure

It’s not fun to play 2k on hall of fame when it doesn’t matter if I smother them or not, I honestly feel I have a higher chance at getting a stop if I leave them wide open then contesting them
The ai is beatable with the right strategy and players. Need a strong big who can drop step, need a great penetrator who can get contested layups and dunks, you need a really good 3 shooter, a great passing pg, and a great wing defender and interior defender. You drive and score off iso’s, you run cuts all day, run pick and rolls/fades, run screens for your shooters, and only shoot wide open jump shots lol. It’s a boring style after a while but it’s really effective at beating them. Play great on ball defense too that’s the other pre-requisite. Play for as many fast break points as possible.
Why do my ai just stand around on offense how am I post to make a play when I got ad standing still I got Lebron standing in a corner with 2 defenders on him and here’s me running back n forth tryna create an opening as my ai just watches me while eating popcorn
They never play mycareer they nerfed it to force players to the rec blame the community for this and still not demanding it be fixed all this time tell you that most people don't care

This game is different from 23 …this A.I reminds me of the 2k16-17 HOF where winning one game against HOF felt like winning a chip ,the cpu is so ruthless.

One thing thats annoying is how much the contest system changes for AI defenders. Hands in their face register as open, but an average defender sitting 6 feet away with a very late contest will get 10-30% contest on jumpers.

My biggest problem is how do you make sure the defense isnt clogging the paint? You see how when reaves blows by george he has an open lane because everyone else is in the corners.

Superstar current series dom you should be fine using these tips, all time dom however is super difficult on hof. For there you’ll really need a decent lineup that competes, and tilted more towards defense
Only thing that pisses me off honestly is the heavily contested shots and layups the computer makes but I can’t make anything contested 😂

No, because he’d have to defend against the AI. It’s easy to learn cheap dribble moves to score in this game. It’s hard to beat the AI because they cheat constantly
How do you add specific advanced plays to use in my career? I’m only able to use the 4 basic ones
I think you may be able to do that once you unlock one of Tyrese Halburton's quests where you can call plays from your playbook. But since I'm the point guard I'm able to call plays anyway (L1 + Call play for a specific player).

Anybody else realizes that if u go on hall of fame settings in the cpu sliders its basically a handicap their ball security is at 100 and yours is like 70 their success shots are way higher than yours and if u change it then it becomes a custom difficulty so explain this please
I can explain. Changed that as soon as I caught on. Change it to 50 for yours and theirs. Ball security on hall of fame for you is a 30 and for the CPU it's 100. That means that when you have the ball and collide with a player you might lose the ball just from coming in contact with them. It's ridiculous. Change it to 50 50 for sure and that's the most fair number for both sides in that category

Can you talk about the defense? I can't get any steals. I turn the cpu ball security to zero, no steals. I turn it to 100, no steals. My cpu teammates dont even get steals. I have a point guard with 97 steal rating and 2 guard with 92 steal rating. What is going on. What is a good realistic setting for this area or is there another slider that I need to adjust? CPU defense on the other hand is OD. They help 100%, can't blowby anybody. They don't miss shots offensively. This game sucks
I currently have a problem with Dunky and leaks in general. And I'm playing at the rookie level because I've never played NBA before. I play 2K 21. I played a few seasons and about 40 games for the Bulls and now I play for the Pistons. And I just never Dunk. Practically no escape. But I have 8 wins in a row and I beat my opponents in a "dry trick" 😀

I'm playing NBA 2K 21. It's my first game from the NBA series. I've had a few established seasons in Manager Mode with the Bulls and a few with the Pistons. Maybe 10 in total? I always played about 5-7 matches and deleted and start again. So maybe 50 matches in total? I always played as a rookie. When I started, I had very exciting games for the Bulls against the Lakers, for example. I returned to the NBA a few days ago. I play for the Pistons. And for the rookie level I have 8 wins in a row. I never had that before. At first I thought it was a coincidence. But I have really improved. So I'll try Pro. Maybe another one. I don't know how I'm going to improve. But I want to focus purely on basketball. I don't think I will enjoy constantly changing tactics during the match. However, NBA 2K is the best crafted sports game I have ever played.

Ai is broken for one of my builds all I gotta do is escape move that goes sideways like the tween or cross nd then I cross and get by them almost every time but my other builds it don’t work.
@@pooppoop8142 I just call a screen and while it’s coming cross to the side make the defender run into the screen and I either have an open three or lane.

A few specific triple threat styles are easier to time with this move!

Nah, just got to set it up right. Played against a lot of the high steal, high strength, high perimeter defense guys, or even guys with HOF badge everything and 90+ defense on MyTeam, to say this doesn't work says more about you than it does about me.
