If a man loves u he won't size u up against your own daughters. Mine says that about his ex. I'm certain he does about me. My daughter has a wonderful father. Whether now or in memories. He is still her father. And my best friend.

Perhaps you know only of transactional and conditional love, a surface level connection, reward for good behaviour, not actual true unconditional love which can be extremely intense, even insane, very messy and f'd up at times. But by the same token all consuming and feeling at home and totally accepted, warts and all. None of us are perfect, we all f up at times,that's just life. Think about the marriage vows and rethink what your saying. Tell me, do you have any children yet?
Some guys have a hard time expressing themselves too cause of low self esteem, and romantic trauma. The guy I like had a wife, got divorced. I found out from a friend he confided too. I kinda already knew. His actions speak the same as mine as I went through a similar issue with a ex. It scary to love again. You wanna love someone once more, but ur afraid to take the step past "friends". So u settle for whatever u receive. The actions he has given me however, spoke volumes of affection. But he still keeps his distance out of fear. I get it.
