    Wow, that's a dense fill but it'll really help with my hand-foot coordination. Thx KJ!

    This will prove useful in the future. For now, I'm gonna stick with just practicing 16th Notes, before I attempt to insert 16th note fillers. ^^; Seems a little much, but I'll get it eventually!

    This pattern is awesome sauce. I could see how this could be expanded for many additional bars. I hope to use it as a solo, or at the very least a useful great sounding linear four bar fill (playing the first four bars only).

    Your floor tom sounds like bass drum, when playing fast it sounds like you work with double bass.

    very nice! it would help if along with the notation and sticking you add the voices - at least one variation...it's just a suggestion..nice work!

    You should post a tutorial on kick speed. I can't really get it down and I'm still having trouble with the 6 stroke roll snare pause fill.

    • @torikenyon
      @torikenyon Před 9 lety +2

      Kick speed is just something that comes to you slowly, you just have to keep practicing getting faster and faster with your foot progressively. I used Knights of Cydonia by muse, which has some pretty fast bass drum patterns, and I started with a simplified version, and eventually played the full non simplified version slowly and gradually got faster until I could do it full speed. At first I thought I would NEVER be able to move my foot that fast, it seemed impossible to me but now it's a piece of cake. (BTW, my foot hurt after every practice)

    Wat do the letters r l and k mean. And also, what do each e&a mean? Srry for sounding like such a noob. I barely found out u can use niotes in drumming

    • @ivymayer
      @ivymayer Před 5 lety +2

      Drumming W/ Brian
      R means right hand
      L means left hand
      K means kick
      and e&a is the way you count 16th notes, for example: 1e&a, 2e&a...

    I know this is late to ask but is there anything I could do to help with the speed

    • @KJRias
      @KJRias  Před 7 lety +1

      Foot speed? I made a whole lesson pack based on developing foot speed and getting more kick into your drum fills. Check out The Kick Fills System when you get a chance: www.kjrias.com/the-kick-fills-system
