I just started the game. When I first loaded in and chopped some wood then what do you think happened… a PINK SLIME spawned and for the time I didn’t know it was rare.
I also met that pinky friend on my 2nd day and after our little *chat* the achivement popped up, then I realized It had to be rare XD ("Pinky has a 1/180 (0.56%) chance of spawning" according to Terraria Wiki)

Me and my friends just started this game recently and unfortunately I got a video with literally [final boss] as the thumbnail and “final boss” somewhere in the title. It’s been a crazy amount of fun tho and I’m addicted

Really nicely explained! I think there are some things that should have been mentioned and you have shown a little too much of potentially spoilery content at the beggining but this video still provides a good start for beginners 👍
The sad truth is that anyone starting out will probably need to search for sources outside the game to fully understand how some things work and what the game has to offer but at the same time it feels special to get into this type of game and have to discover a lot on your own

I love listening to guides while I play games. Its a bit relaxing to listen also u get to learn more stuff while playing other games. I play Skyrim and listen lot of guides but then I start listen to guide from other games like Minecraft and Terraria. Always lovely to hear it. And I have no problem with guides do some spoiling I have played Terraria and came good far not done any bosses but built tall towers and explored some dungeons. :) Tho would be more fun with friends but sadly I dont have one for that :(
But yeah if ppl dont like spoilers they shouldnt had clicked in the first place. Just imagine getting a new job and the instruction is guiding u through but then you plug ur ears coz you dont want any spoilers. Yeah that one way to get fired.

Its kinda crazy how terraria and Minecraft are some of my all time favorite games, yet ive only had one really good terraria world and that was almost 10 years ago in middle school, on my ipod 5th gen lol. Minecraft ive beat so many times yet something about terraria captivated me so much that one world was enough for me to cement it as one of the GOATs. I’ve recently gotten back into minecraft in making my first hardcore world and its going pretty good, now i want to revisit terraria and see how i will do. I was somewhat experienced and I got 2 friends to buy the game. It was me and 2 complete noobs who had 0 idea. One of my friends found the dungeon and I said nothing... it was very funny. Also my other friend likes to collect flowers and she found that special flower in the jungle in hardmode (it took us a very long time to get to this point so she already kinda couldnof expected something to happen) anyways she is now a lot more carefull. Also she likes to collect bugs. Well she doesnt anymore after something happened in the hollow biome...

Journey mode is the ultimate mode because you can have Expert and Mastermode in the same play through if you want!
Plus you’re still forced to play the game to unlock the unlimited items so it’s not just a normal creative mode. I love journey mode!

Hello. I've been playing Terraria for about a total of 100+ hours and I can't finish it yet because I'm always indecisive like i need to be this melee class only, and then proceed to be a summonner. So when i realize it later, i just redo it all again, deleting the character and the world. How can I not do this again?
Choose a specific class you want to play as for each character you create and fully stick to it. You can have several characters and worlds going at the same time and just progress whichever one you feel like playing at the time. That way you never have to completely start over again until you finish one. I always have several separate playthroughs going.
Uhhhhh. A good start would probably be not deleting your character and starting a new world whenever you get indecisive.
Here’s how to beat the game To beat Terraria, your main goal is to defeat all major bosses and progress through the different stages of the game: Pre-Hardmode and Hardmode. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you conquer Terraria:
### **1. Set Up and Survive (Pre-Hardmode)**
- **Gather Resources:** Chop trees, mine ores, and gather basic materials. Build a shelter to protect yourself from monsters.
- **Craft Armor and Weapons:** Start with wooden or copper tools and gradually upgrade to iron or lead armor and weapons.
- **Explore and Expand:** Explore caves, find chests, and collect useful items like potions, weapons, and accessories.
### **2. Defeat Pre-Hardmode Bosses**
- **King Slime:** An optional boss, but good practice. Summoned with a Slime Crown or randomly during a Slime Rain event.
- **Eye of Cthulhu:** Spawns at night when you have over 200 health and 10 defense, or summoned with a Suspicious Looking Eye.
- **Eater of Worlds / Brain of Cthulhu:** Defeat these bosses to progress. Summoned by breaking Shadow Orbs or Crimson Hearts in the Corruption/Crimson biomes.
- **Skeletron:** Guards the Dungeon. Defeat Skeletron to access it and find valuable loot.
- **Queen Bee:** Found in the Jungle biome, can be summoned with an Abeemination or by breaking the larva in Bee Hives.
- **Wall of Flesh:** Summoned by throwing a Guide Voodoo Doll into lava in the Underworld. Defeating it will start Hardmode.
### **3. Hardmode Progression**
- **Prepare for Hardmode:** Make sure you have strong weapons, armor, and accessories. A good setup includes Molten Armor and weapons from the Dungeon.
- **Destroy Demon/Crimson Altars:** Use the Pwnhammer (dropped by the Wall of Flesh) to break altars and spawn Hardmode ores (Cobalt, Palladium, Mythril, Orichalcum, Adamantite, or Titanium).
- **Upgrade Gear:** Mine the new ores and craft stronger armor and weapons. Aim for Adamantite or Titanium Armor.
### **4. Defeat Mechanical Bosses**
- **The Twins:** Summon with a Mechanical Eye or wait for them to naturally spawn at night.
- **The Destroyer:** Summon with a Mechanical Worm or wait for it to spawn at night.
- **Skeletron Prime:** Summon with a Mechanical Skull or wait for it to naturally spawn.
### **5. Plantera and Golem**
- **Plantera:** Found in the Underground Jungle after defeating all three Mechanical Bosses. Use a key dropped by Plantera to access the Jungle Temple.
- **Golem:** Found in the Jungle Temple. Use a Lihzahrd Power Cell at the Lihzahrd Altar to summon.
### **6. Prepare for the Final Bosses**
- **Duke Fishron:** An optional but powerful boss, summoned by fishing in the Ocean with a Truffle Worm.
- **Lunatic Cultist:** Found at the Dungeon entrance after defeating Golem. Defeating him will initiate the Lunar Events.
- **Pillars (Lunar Events):** Defeat the Solar, Vortex, Nebula, and Stardust Pillars to weaken the Moon Lord.
### **7. Moon Lord - Final Boss**
- **Summon the Moon Lord:** He spawns automatically after defeating all four pillars.
- **Preparation:** Set up a long arena with platforms, heart lanterns, campfires, and any buffs you can get. Use your strongest weapons, like the Solar Eruption, Vortex Beater, or Stardust Dragon.
### **8. Defeat the Moon Lord**
- Focus on dodging his attacks and targeting his hands and head to take down his core.
- Use healing potions and keep your buffs active throughout the fight.
### **Tips:**
- **Arena Building:** Create arenas for boss fights with platforms and buffs (campfires, heart lanterns).
- **NPCs:** Housing and utilizing NPCs (like the Nurse for healing) can significantly aid your progression.
- **Potions:** Always use buffs like Ironskin, Regeneration, Swiftness, and other useful potions.
By following these steps and strategies, you'll be well on your way to beating Terraria! Let me know if you need more specific tips or strategies for any part of the game.

As I got Terraria for Christmas, this is gonna be helpful
I do hate one thing about terraria, and that’s the fact that in classic mode or lower, most bosses are absolutely useless, especially the early boss, where by that point of progression the things it drops aren’t that useful anymore. Also, a quick tip, though it is only sometimes useful, is that fishing (though sometimes quite boring and hard to get lures for) can be a decent source of early game loot! (The umbrella is also a decent item that will help you throughout most of the game, just not as a damage tool, PS: read it’s description).

Funfact: Crimson Biomes give you access to the ability to make one of the best defensive accessories in Terraria and it's not even funny how big a difference they can make.
my first time playing was with a couple of my friends and we played on master difficulty and heavily modded. they told me it would be easy. IT WAS NOT EASY.

Having only 95 hours in Terraria this helped a lot
something it seems like purists dont do is that as long as the character and world match (normal -> normal / journey -> journey), you can take items from other worlds to help you in the current one! you absolutely can take weapons or accessories from a world in hard mode and bring them into a fresh world to give you a major boost.
this feels almost necessary when playing master mode, and dont let purists tell you that doing this is cheating! you literally HAVE to do it if you don't think to save a certain item very early on!

Ive got 200 hours in a console character but this helped me out since i bever did this by myself lol
I just tried it for the first time. Trying to figure out how to play the game while dying every 20 seconds at night got tiring real quick. giving this a try before I call it quits. The tutorial was also trying to teach me how to kick players out of houses as one of the first things before it even got into building a house, kinda wack.
