  • Taking this old gem out for a spin, but on the new OPUS engine.
There's so much coverage on the Hollywood OPUS libraries, but don't overlook the much older Symphonic Orchestra. The OPUS treatment breathes new life into this collection, making it still relevant (IMO) in 2022.
In this example, I'm utilizing modwheel, expression and EQ filter macros, all routed onto a single controller (CC1) - a testament of just how much control OPUS gives you, unlike the PLAY engine.
    Testing on:
    Mac Mini M1 (16GB RAM)
    MacOS Monterey
    DAW - Logic Pro

Actually it's a bit older than that. It was first released in 2003. The OPUS update still uses the same samples and the original recordings still sound amazing. I use it along side some of my newer libraries Spitfire, Berlin and Afflatus and it still sounds amazing. The effects patches are realy special.
