  • This is just my way of attaching the Corridor Connectors for tight curves.
    I mistakingly refer to the Coaches as Locos, and Quasi decided to switch on my Noch Steam sound unit with the bell ringing.

    Hi, Paul! This solution is very interesting and it gives me the feeling it might work better, just a feeling yet. Maybe the paper is too rigid so it provokes derailments...? maybe a fine fabric corridor would worth a try?, but I can't see none of us working on sewing machine, lol. Anyway, thank you for the video, have a good peaceful Sunday evening. Cheers! / Chris

      Hi Cris, Its surprising how flexible these connectors are. I like your idea of using some fabric it really would be flexible. Quite difficult to produce I think, I wonder if anyone will try another material. As always thanks for watching and commenting its good to hear suggestions.
      Have a great week, Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏

      Hi Windy, these connectors really do look good if the gap is minimal between the Coaches. The magnets work well on 4th radious curves. Its always good to experiment with ways to improve the look of the trains I think. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏

      Hi Anthony, I havent heard that word for years. If only the finagling had worked it would have been worth it. I think these corridor connectors would be very good on a big layout like yours.

    Hi Paul. I tried a corridor connector on my class 142 pacer. I used a magnet much the same as you. Alas much the same it caused it to derail on bends. Was going to experiment with other ways but got forgotten about🤨

    • @paulvozman842
      @paulvozman842  Před měsícem

      Hi Roy, This was an experiment to see if I could improve on my home made connectors. I thought using the magnets would work well but as you said they still derailed. I think just having a small gap between the fixed Corridor Connectors and the next Coach works quite well so thats what I will run with. I am very interested to see if anyone has succeded in having them attached both ends. Thanks for watching and commenting its most appreciated. All the best, Paul.👍👍🙏

    Ingenious solution, but I think they might not work on my tight curves.

    • @paulvozman842
      @paulvozman842  Před měsícem +1

      Hi Patrick, I was hoping using the magnets would allow for some more free movement between the Coaches but alas it was not to be on my layout.
      Ah well back to the drawing board.
      Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏

    Hi Paul, very interesting solutions! I also would like to have corridor connections but with my tight curves (R1 and even less) that's an impossible goal te reach, I think!

    • @paulvozman842
      @paulvozman842  Před měsícem +1

      Hi Erik, unfortunatly these corridor connectors are unsuitable for the tightest curves. I have mine with the gap to avoid any possible derailing.
      They do work on 4th radious curves very well but that needs a big layout. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏

    Good idea I have thought along similar lines but trying the flexable strip magnet like they use on labels and signs as it`s generally black and thin tape can be bought

      Hi Clive, aounds like the magnetic strip is a good solution. I am always interested to hear how other modellers overcome these problems. Even the manufacturer stated these connectors may not be suitable for less the 4th radious curves. I hope you solve the issue. Best regards, Paul.👍👍🙏

    By all means use 'bellows' style gangways on coaches that had them in real life, but Mark I coaches didn't have them. You would be better getting rid of those 'chopper couplings' and pulling the coaches closer together so that their gangways touch, then you won't need a 'bellows' at all. (Fix the problem of coaches being coupled too far apart rather than fixing the symptom - the gap between gangways) Also looks a lot more realistic having coaches closer together.
