I used to play on a track pad myself back when I first started playing...Mostly because my laptop's USB port was kinda messed up and wouldn't let me use a mouse for some reason. Luckily that was years ago and I got a new laptop since then.

If I have a medic on my team that casually solos the entire enemy team with the syringe gun, I'd pocket him, because that is clearly the best player on the server.

Right from the very beginning, I knew how much of a chaotic mess this was going to be due to how many people that don't simply hate the syringe gun, but anyone on their team or against their team that uses it.

Funnily enough, back when I didn’t have a mouse I played TF2 on a trackpad.
I would’ve suggested equipping the Amputator and occasionally doing group heals every once in a while doing this challenge. While your teammates would still probably hate you, they more than likely wouldn’t hate you enough to kick you because at least you’re doing something to help them.

The Syringe Gun is a good self defence weapon especially when enemies are chasing you but when you have insane burst of heals with the crossbow, minimal damage penalty with the overdose and blutsauger health on hit negating the hole downside of it since if your health is low there is probably an enemy nearby, it makes it not worth using most of the time compared to its other options witch is sad since its really fun to use.
Also unrelated but balance mod fricking sucks at balancing and we dont need a stronger version of medic and his syringe gun then the one we have now. Take it from someone who used the syringe gun before famous youtuber The What made his syringe video.

You’re wrong. The syringe guns absolutely need to be better. Balance mod doesn’t have enough theme to their changes. That’s why they’re all over the place.
If we all wanna agree that medics primary’s need to suck, nerf the crossbow. Otherwise the disparity between their effectiveness makes his syringe guns too bad to bother with.

Crossbow, however, is absolutely sick and no one wants it changed. If you do, you haven’t played enough medic.

Funnily enough, the syringe weapons actually excel at dealing with sentries if you can get the right angle on them. Made a few engies rage quit that way cause they kept putting them in spots where I could get the high ground or the low ground on them.
I did this today on 2fort. The fact that they arc means you can safely shoot them depending on where they're placed.
It's also fun to fire at the point from behind really tall terrain

@spinolover124 an easy / common spy play is to disguise as scout for the speed boost and use that to kill the enemy medic ideally. If you've played any tf2 you've definitely had it happen many times in matches. In that fight it's best as medic to switch to melee rather than using primary; so getting that last syringe kill on a spy-scout was just particularly funny to me, since it's seen as an unlikely win for the medic. Hope that made sense

Thr syringe gun is actually really good at killing once you get used to tracking targets, I got used to it naturally from using the nailgun a lot in tf2c, tfc, and quake.
You can kill heavies around corners effectively with the syringe guns because you don’t need direct sight lines. It always really fun destroying people who underestimate the syringe gun.

So for those who don't kno, Zoidberg656 had a somewhat popular Slenderman game on Roblox back in the day. And we're talking about almost, if not more than a decade ago by this point.

I would say that people kicking you for playing Medic with only the syringe gun is harder to deal with than actually playing the syringe gun, but like with Elxmaxo I'm sure if you just told people your plan they would have been more forgiving.

Fun idea for a combat medic subclass:
A item that replaces the melee, but makes syringe guns hitscan, like a ammo pack or something.
A new medigun that doesn't build ubercharge by healing, but instead by dealing damage with the syringe gun.
Trust me on this, getting 1000 kills with the syringe gun is the EASY part. Getting it to hale's own is the real challenge

The Syringe Gun is the default primary weapon for the Medic. It is a custom-built gun that uses air pressure to fire syringes from a transparent cylindrical case.
The weapon fires syringes at a rate of ten per second, with a velocity of 990 Hammer units. The syringes are subject to gravity as they travel, making it necessary to lead moving targets and aim upward to compensate for distance. The Syringe Gun is reasonably accurate when the trajectory is taken into account, but the extremely slow speed of the projectiles makes it ineffective outside of close range. Unlike most other projectiles, syringes cannot be reflected

The one thing I always liked about the syringe gun is the reload sound and animation. So clean
Yeah the overdose is definitely better than the syringe for combat, that speed bonus lets you live in so many situations where you wouldn't normally. I think I can only remember exactly one time where the tiny damage penalty actually made a difference.

I used it with my Quick Fix loadout because I've been playing Quake recently and fell in love with weapons like The Original and Grenade Launcher, and FishStickOnAStick's rebalance server makes the Syringe guns extremely fun to use, so I have the blind hope that maybe someday if valve rebalances weapons they may do that to the Syringe guns (if they made Medic able to have the speed of his current patient maybe that wouldn't be so far fetch in a world where they did their job).
Nobody in Valve (Except the janitor, of course) wants to play OCD Chef with the Source Spaghetti codes, because they want to be part of the newest, hippest, fanciest-pantsed project.
I genuinely watched the first 4 seconds around 50 times this video is great
One thing i've found while using this for a while is that if you get the drop on an enemy or a cluster of enemies at long/mid range you can spray a lot of needles before they make contact. By the time they turn around to fire back you have a hail of syringes already in the air towards them while you take cover and reload.
I love the fact that you have to throw in a disclaimer for even mentioning zesty in a joke because he'll absolutely explode if someone even remotely makes fun of him

I mean, it probably wouldn't be all that different...It would probably also give you good training to use the TF2C Nailgun
Edit: ok just thought of a difference: The funny civilian can give your syringe gun mini crits, and pyro is also probably harder to deal with, whereas spy is easier. also no vaccinator
The TF2C Nailgun is like the syringe gun in a few ways, but because scout has a pistol I reccomended having that equipped first just to fire on reaction to your enemy (or see where they will move) and after a few shots
THEN switch to the nailgun and start tracking them to deal big damage.
