- A review of the delta in2ition shower system. This is the older model. I think it's the 2.5GPM but there's a 1.75GPM one also.

It can be considered a showerhead and head shower system. It's relatively easy to install.
It saves water and this stainless steel look is amazingly beautiful.
I'll show you how to use the 5 different spray modes.
Once again, it's a great product and I love it.
If you like the video, please help with a thumbs up so others can watch this video and leave a comment if helps others. thanks. - Jak na to + styl
I have owned this shower head for 10months and finally got fed up with the poor water pressure. I tested our water with another shower head from Moen and it had lots of pressure so I knew it was the Delta. Today I modified the In2ition in the following ways, and went from 1.5L/min to 7.6L/m. (Yeah, I measured!)
1) I removed the green flow restrictor (including the rubber ring washer inside it) from the top of the shower-head (the port where you screw it on to the pipe). Use needle nose pliers. First you will see a rubber washer (black) with a screen in it. Remove that, gently, then you will see the green plastic ring. Pull out the green plastic ring and leave it out, replace the black washer with the screen and re-install the shower-head.
2) the hose that connects the wand/arm to the shower-head has two white plastic ends which you can see more clearly if you slide the cone-shaped covers down the hose to expose the ends. Each one is covered with a black rubber washer. Use the pliers to remove the washers. Then I drilled VERY CAREFULLY into the white plastic, and only shallow, to widen the holes in the ends (I used a 9/32 drill bit). Replace the washers and reinstall.
*I used teflon tape just for the shower-head to pipe install - haven't had any leaks that way.
Paid about $80 for this unit. Wish it had delivered the water pressure Delta promised out of the box - but for about 20min in modifications, I'm happy.
solargrl . Thanks for your post. I just installed the Intuition Model 75481DSN ( TWO SHOWERS IN ONE / BRUSHED NICKEL FINISH / MECHANICAL LOCKING SYSTEM). I thought that the washer pressure out of the heads seemed a bit low so I thank you for your post; I will implement this. LOWES didnt have the "magnetic" type locking feature showerhead in the brushed nickel here (might be special order) otherwise I might have bought it.
I'm having a very hard time removing the flow restrictor(mine is purple in color). I tried needle nose pliers and it's super stuck in there....
Lindsay you are good!
You can remove the flow restrictor from the shower head. There’s a video on that in CZcams.
thank you! i really appreciate this video. it was very helpful in helping me to decide which shower head to purchase. I'm not getting a lot of answers from the store's chat "professionals"
I want to thank the makers of this video, we were able to fix a problem with our showerhead .
Thank you for your review!! It was exactly the review I was looking for 😊🙌🏽🙌🏽
Thanks I couldn't get the thing to work. This was really helpful.
Thanks. Saw it last week. delta has a couple of other models like this as well.
Thank u, this was very helpful. I truly appreciate you
Thanks for the reply. Unless you open it up and drill a bigger opening. I think that's the max flow. Didn't see any components that can be removed.
Thank you very much. We just bought this unit. Now we have to figure out how to remove the flow restricter.

Thank you! this was very helpful.
The water amount is adequate due to flow control. I guess it really depends how much is enough though.
will sufficient water come out of the outer rings while you have the hand held detached and spraying?
Found this video because I wanted to see the flow rate with the restricter in. I can run out of hot water easily at my apartment and I was curious, because with the restrictor in i’d extend my hot water, but the restrictor will also provide me weaker flow. You even mentioned that the flow was “adequate”, but that’s not good enough for me. Lol. Thanks for the demonstration. About to hook mine up in a little bit here, no restricter.
How do you like it without restrictor?
What is the thread size for the end that attaches to shower inlet pipe?
Thank you for your help.
You're welcome!
the gray button the lock hand held is pushed in and is loose how do i fix it
I can't get water to come out of the shower head. It's installed correctly, but when I turn on the facuet, all the water comes out of the main pipe for the tub. There's no switch to redirect the water to the shower head.
What is the actual model number for your unit because there is so many different ones and a variation in pricing?
When I purchased this model, there were only 1. This is the Chrome one from Home Depot. Last I checked, Home Depot have more selection now.
I have a shower head that looks just like this one.
Thanks
I was surprised
I'm surprised this video is 9 years old (at the time of this comment). I just bought one of these and I can tell there are slight differences between the switches and design.. Perhaps upgrades in 2021/2022. I hope yours is still working well!
We just switched this year given the hard water clogged the holes. There're a few versions of this floating around. One is actually a little smaller showerhead.
I bought a couple of these only a couple of months ago and worked perfect until I noticed the Control which allows you to have Hand Held Jet, Hand Held Shower and other functions stop working all together. I am no longer able just to have the Hand Held Working as Jet or Normal as the main Head also works at the same time. Any idea what has gone wrong and how I can fix it??
Same thing happened to me and I have no idea how to fix it?
Same happened to me but mine never worked the handheld part spurted a little and stopped
The wing XD
Gosh, I should have read Lindsay’s post first.
You do know you can increase the water pressure by removing the flow restrictor, right?
May I inquire on how you do that?
@@eduardoguzman5979 no. no you may not
Can you please explain how this is done Mrs/Ms Beecham?
Got mine ollies for 29.99
you went way too fast in showing how to detach the inner hand held portion of the showerhead. did you just yank it out or is there a release button? and how about demonstrating the way to re-attach it as well?
Exactly. I struggle every shower
Tilt it up. There is a 'catch"
It’s simple common sense, that’s why he doesn’t elaborate. You could also research the shower head better instead of watching 1 crapy CZcams video and expecting to get the entire manufacturing instructions and blueprints. You can also go to a Home Depot/Lowes/Menards/Etc. and they have whole displays with all the shower heads and you can physically touch them and understand. Again, this is all common sense. Do the work yourself, and you wont have to get frustrated when someone else doesn’t do it for you, and you wont have to demand them to do the work for you either.
@@farrellthib 😂😂
@ nm88, what is the model number to this?
J BriZzeL It's the older model of the unit now. A new model has come out already.
Here's mine new one also:
czcams.com/video/9D-cwkdENRQ/video.html
Is this a 1.75 or 2.5 volume of water?
I don't remember, it's been so long. Some laws doesn't allow 2.5 gpm to be sold in some states.
It is okay with water heater?
Yes
What model is that?
I don’t recall.
It has no pressure😩
Like many units, they have water flow restrictors in the unit.
This is a POS for the money. Cheaply made and offers terrible water velocity. Even the inner ring is woefully inadequate if your looking for a stepped up stream. Why would you want an hand held component if it isn't significantly stronger than the main ring. If it is an environmentally biased design to 'save water' than market it that why.
I bought one of these and it's the worst piece of fucking shit I've ever purchased. I'm bringing it back to Lowe's tomorrow. Whether or not they give me a refund, I'm leaving at the store, because it's not even worthy of taking up space in my garbage pail. The hose leaks like a sieve, even with teflon tape. Only one head works at a time, not both like the label claims. I've never in my life been so disappointed with a purchase. FUCK DELTA. They should just get out of business.
