    so basically, i must deliver my bowl at the same thrust, tempo, speed as i did the jack?

    Do you get touch quicker with long or short ends? There’s early ends to win against opposition coming from quicker or slower greens, which is best to make most of it and not allow opposition to gain touch quicker.

    love your series. I have a question. When I bowl I simply stare at the jack (or whatever I want to hit) and I release the bowl without looking at a line. I'm pretty successful with this method. Do any top players do this? Should I go back to finding an aiming point?

    • @NevRodda
      @NevRodda  Před 8 lety +1

      +Rudy Uribe Hey Rudy, Awesome to hear that you're enjoying the vids. In regards to aiming point. Yes you can do this, it is more of a kinesthetic way of playing. I would suggest that if you find your line becoming inconsistent always go back to aiming point to gauge if you swing line is consistent.

      There are many factors in beginners guide to bowls. One plan I found which successfully combines these is the Berts bowls guide (check it out on google) without a doubt the best resource that I've seen. look at the amazing information.

    Rhythm speed is not a term I have found in bowls How-to books. Could you provide a definition as you intend to apply it to bowls. In golf it is the club head speed but that is because the body frame is not moving forward much comparatively. In bowls both the arm and trunk are moving. How does your definition treat that?

  • @markwalton8897
    @markwalton8897 Před 9 měsíci

    Nev I would love to no why my arm is going across my body

    the laws say that your foot must be on or over the mat. I would call you for a foot fault!

    • @LawnBowlerUK
      @LawnBowlerUK Před 5 lety +2

      kevin maguire I think he still has part of his heel over the mat. No foot fault.

    Great advice, thanks from all the lead bowlers in Australia. Looks like you may be foot-faulting though buddy! At 2:40 and 4:10.
    Correct me if I'm wrong,

    • @NevRodda
      @NevRodda  Před 7 lety +1

      Hey William, yes looks like I was a bit forward on the mat when I let the bowls go. Simple answer is to stand a few inches back on the mat when playing a real game.
