Marcelito is currently on tour in the US. I saw him in San Diego and he was great. Not only does he have a great voice, but he is also quite the comedian. He literally stepped off stage and involved himself in the crowd while singing and taking photos. He is so humble and down to earth always giving back and sharing his blessings.
He sings another version of this song on Eats Singing Time. He is wearing a red jacket. He is happier in that one and I think more powerful. Thanks for your reaction.

What a difference from his "Prayer" performance from years ago.
His enunciation, projection by opening his mouth more. More round tones.
I think he was actually just trying to be himself here, and sing it in an American accent. He wants to do it justice so there are some flavors of Josh in there but I think this is basically just him singing raw and himself without much imitation.
Love this song. And he sings it so beautifully. Thank you for your explanations of what he does vocally. I always love learning the techniques involved in the music. Great job!
Just an fyi: Tommy Johansen - guitarist with Sabaton and creator of the backing tracks that Floor used on her cover videos - has done a version of this. Well worth a listen - it's an octave up!

I've always been amazed at Marcelito's singing, but Josh Groban did such a magnificent job on this song, his power and depth of feeling made me think that he was living the song

I think he styled this after the Westlife version of this song vice the Josh Groban version. The Irish fiddle is kind of gives it away.
