    That's how I make them too. Had to figure it out myself some years ago when I moved to California. It's a Scottish tortilla.

    A wee bit on the thick side.I make them thinner and less oil.Just enough oil to stop them sticking.Lovely with grated cheese on top and grilled then served hot with a shake of pepper on top.

    Never realised how simple these were to make, I saw another recipe that suggested using 1 egg in the flour mixture but most agree that it's just mashed potato, flour, salt and baking powder ... any thoughts?

    He's making what we in n.I call potato f arls lovely fried up with soda bread, egg bacon and black pudding as a weekend breakfast. They are also lovely toasted with cheese.

    Yes finally a video that shows you that the scones must be thin. BUT - they need to stay whole and rolled up, not cut into quarters.

    BREAKING NEWS!!!! Potato farls are an Irish, not a Scottish invention....'Potato Scone' doesn't even make ANY sense...FOOLS😔
