There were only 2 people in my life that amazed me. My father n Buddy. When he walked in my living room to jam , I knew n felt I was in the presence of Greatness, enlightenment n a genuine genius. My town, “Syosset”, was blessed to have him play in his band called “ The Reasons Why”. From that band to play in WOODSTOCK in 1969, when he was only 19,playing with the world’s greatest blues band “Paul Butterfield blues band”. Afterwards to play with the Biggest bands. He was the “Greatest guitarist “ of our time.

He's really showing heroic strength here. Today, I wish and pray he will have all he needs to beat cancer!

Thanks for this, Jake. Buzzy has been a great player for a very long time. You know it's Buzzy immediately whether he's playing a solo or his very unique rhythm sensibility. For me he's one of only two players, along with Danny Weis who are so unique. Funny, They're from the same era and replaced each other on a few gigs, The Rascals and Bette Midler to name two.

@@jakefeinbergshow Danny Weis is living up in Canada, an hour or two north of Toronto. How about a road trip to interview him. I mean think about it: Here’s a guy who co-founded I.B., toured/recorded with Burton Cummings, Alice Cooper, Rascals, Lou Reed, Bette M, and yet has done gigs with the Everly Bros. There’s gotta be so interesting stuff in there 😂
