- part 10 in my Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled developer time trial series. Today I went up against Tiny Arena and Dragon Mines. Tiny Arena is said to be one of the easiest in the game and Dragon Mines is said to be one of the hardest.

CTR is strange with its skill curve. Lewis isnt bad in the sense that he beat the velo times and has most dev times. But when he plays the tougher tracks like dragon mines, he clearly drives like an amateur. No perfect full boosting. No control over your own kart. No consistency. 91 attempts just to finish dragon mines without losing fire. Hes a total scrub in that context. Hes neither bad, or good. Just stuck in a weird purgatory in CTR.

I still don’t understand how people found out of time hard, it’s the same thing as velo, keep ur blue fire and that’s it
@@PokemonSoulGold13 There's no Dev Time on Retro Stadium. Plus it's the only track in the game that isn't required to beat the Oxide or Velo's times in order to unlock the Champion Kart Decals.
I just realized that every time he makes the audio louder, it means he completed the map and beat the developer
Lewis' gameplay has always been that way, even on his other channels. If there's a cut either something really good is about to happen or terrible 💀

@@chikovida10 Not always though. I thought when the audio went louder it was always the indicator that he was about to win, but in a video or two back the audio was louder on a track that was a super narrow loss.

I also just took out this trial today. Marks #19 for me. I had so much trouble not because the time is rough, but rather because I got “too good” of a line. The minecart in lap 3 would always be just in front of me and I’d have to stop to not squish.

Im just watching these now and heres a tip for everyone. The mine karts go around depending on when you skip the cutscene at the start, this might affect the other tracks with this kinds of stuff too i think.

The time trial ghosts actually seem to start a few milliseconds before the player, so even if you are ever so slightly behind the ghost, you can still win if you're a cart's length behind. But damn, Dragon Mines was brutal on you. You've already conquered many of the very difficult ones. Keep it up man.
