I recently started playing badmintion. I was a naive, and was loosing lot of games, and were getting fraustrated. these videos helped me a lot to improve my badminton skill. And now I am a way better player player than bfore. thanks to Bojanglesbadmintion for these videos. I wish to see more videoes soon. thanks
@karansena well, few key points you always need to work on specially for single: -most important thing is placing. try to place a shot with or without force. placing is more important than smashing in single -try to find weakness of your opponent as you play. most right hand players has huge weakness on their backhand shot -try not give good shot to your opponent. then he will be in control.
@UnnamedHunterx the jump smash, when executed correctly, generates more power than the regular smash, because the legs are free to "kick" in the air and pull even more energy from the mid-body. But its the most difficult shot technically (I can't do it right yet...). See the Peter Rasmussen jump smash video.
Hey! i'm a decent badminton player & train with my university fellows.i play both doubles & single.I don't have exceptional wrists but good at smashing yet not so good with techniques(trying to learn).I've to buy Best badminton racket within the budget of 150-200$ Looking for Yonex/Li Ning or Maybe victor although i haven't had chance to try victor, had good experience with yonex nanoray 600 & li ning n55.If somebody is aware of any helpful information pls suggest best for me. Thanks in advance.
The racquet drop has not been mentioned. Watch where the guy is ready to smash. The striking arm is elevated and the non-striking arm is raised for balance. The weight is on the back foot and he is ready to transfer his weight into the shot. It's fast, but you can see it. The racquet drops before coming back for the contact. This is similar in tennis. You drop the racquet all the way back, as if you are going to scratch your lower back with the racquet. The elbow is raised and it leads the shot.
Oh one more thing, I'm also a singles player. I know how tough it is to recover after a big jump smash. And for those who want to know how to solve this(it's gonna be obvious, but oh well) practice your smash to the fullest, the more powerful it is, the harder you make it for the opponent to return it, hitting a smash winner. (:
everything explained except for how the player was gripping the racket..you cannot possibly smash with the steep angle without the grip that the player has in the video...
Hi. This is Harry. I'm an intermediate player. while smashing a cork, i'm getting tricep pain. Am i playing wrong shot or is there anything else behind? if i don't play for 2 days, the pain gone. Kindly advice.
ive just bought a "head metallix pro tour" not a 1000 800 ect it just says" pro tour"" its 88 grams and says flexible, cost £49 have i got a decent racket? or have i been ripped off,im just learnin. cheers guys.
Even after hours playing in a tournament my racket arm didn't hurt. It never does. I do always get a really stiff left shoulder though(my inactive arm). Maybe I don't move it enough.
@Dudetownyann at first it's difficult but if you practice it every day , you can do it I'm 12 years old and my jump smash is almost same like taufik's From indonesia
@sports guy comment 1: sue me. i meant to say that for being a pro, he should do better comment 2:how does that counter my point that it is tougher to make a full blown smash in a singles game?
Hi, can someone help me? Whenever i'm playing badminton at the club, there is this person who never surfs the ball and always gives it to me. So when i surf it to him he smacks it really far back on my side of the court, and when i hit it back, he is close to the net and just smashes it, or sometimes volleys it, close to the net. I ahvn't been playing long only about 1 month, he's been playing for about 7 months, but i feel im more physically fit than he is and really annoyed at him using the same strategy.
He must serve to you on his serve. -- It's the rules yo. In your serves, you have a few choices. Underarm forehand serve: Aim high and deep: high : It gives you time to center yourself for deep or net shots. deep: A deep end smash isn't as effective. Deep means in the box at the far back. You want them to almost be off court as they're hitting your shot. He can try to drop it, clear it or smash it but none of them should be threatening if your serve is good and get to base line. In your case, you want to clear better. Reason he is 'right at the net' is because you are hitting right at the 'net'. In that case, you either hit it at the 'net' really well, meaning away from him or hit it really far back again or smash at him and make it harder for him to simply kill you.
youtube has recommended me this video after 12 years
best smashing tutorial i have ever seen. thanks.
thanks for giving this video. I needed for my batminton skills.

i think it's best to bend the wrist a bit back before the smash to make it less sloppy and more powerful.
Thank you for sharing :)
i love doing smashes, it always catches ppl off gaurd
Thanks for the video

nice video
thanks
Nice probably we need to go with a geomentary box and other gadgets to work as per the instructions...
I think you gotta read the title. The title said "Badminton Technique Forehand Smash", it did not say anything regarding the jump smash. (:
Fu Hai Feng was featured in a badminton tutorial and he was talking about forehand smash.
I hope Tan Boon Heong would do the same thing Haha

Hi guys from the sports hall
If no such thing as power badminton than pro tennis.
Do you just say We can make him dance?
Anyone else's arm hurt after a session of badminton? this isn't normal right? am I playing correctly?
+genie121 Don't worry this is normal, same thing happens with Tennis.
The more you play the less the aches will happen.
+Matt Richards not always normal,if he's arm is not straight while smashing,he's arm will hurt too. This is so "Tennis Elbow"
It's called muscle repair.
Used to have that problem when I began to play badminton. You need to learn how to use your wirst instead of your arm.
Even after hours playing in a tournament my racket arm didn't hurt. It never does. I do always get a really stiff left shoulder though(my inactive arm). Maybe I don't move it enough.
:( I wish I could play like them....I guess I can only try my best lol.
nic
When i smash, it always hit my knee, am i smashing correctly or is it in the incorrect position?
BaconDoesStuffz no, you want to smash the shuttlecock not your knee.
@@brandonle4930 You dont get it, when i succesfully hit the shuttlecock in a smash position, it hits my knee when it lands.
@@nevil6833 When u swing you wanna swing left if you're right handed (right if you're leftie) Don't swing straight down.
@@celyn4304 thanks for the info!
I wish I could jump smash like Robertson !
i got a badminton game is my school i'm gonna play in it wish me luck :)

serve to him with strength n make sure it isnt going high
ZonageBRM
with strength but not high? more practice then..
thanks guys :D

serve at the back gallery and try to put the serve not to high

***** thank you so much guys :)
But i still don't have enough strength to return it to my opponent's back court from my back court.
