As Teddy bAtlas said, he was brilliant abut he was never great. He never pulled a losing fight around or dealt with adversity in the ring in a positive way.
A 'Great' fighter can do this but he never had the strength of character.

I often wonder if,now in his Forties, he wonders what could have been if he had kept his life together after D'Amato's death and if he had not got involved with the scum of the earth Don KIng. I think it will be a long time before we ever see another Tyson. Today's bunch would never have come close.
