Thanks for this. So, I take it that the silent shutter is the electronic mode? Is there no way of having a quieter mechanical shutter? That's awfully noisy!

Hi there, coming on this comment a year later. I have the a6400 and I've set it on the sound of mechanical shutter, like having two part sound for one picture like click/click. then few days ago bought the a6600 and i was a bit confused as there is one click only for the sound, without sec part of it, like shows in this tutorial too.. i was woried and ready to go back to the shop, thought its something wrong with it lol.

the mechanical shutter is a lot quieter than is demonstrated in this video - definitely a bit quieter than dslrs i've borrowed from other people
