    I honestly think the MK1 acceleration/deceleration sound is more iconic than the chime.

      SkyTrain would be a bad idea in Winnipeg. The trains don’t perform well in snow or freezing weather.

      @@raymondyu412 agreed, thats why line 3 is being closed in Toronto and they never built more than one line.

    Rode the sky train when I visited BC its cool. They even have ferries you can take within teh transit system that you can get on with a transfer

    Ottawa could use a SkyTrain right about now. The LRT is a national embarassment.

      The O-Train’s start has had a lot of problems but the system has good bones and it gonna grow in popularity as the city gets more populous. Ottawa is a small place to have such a system in North America but at the rate it’s growing it won’t be, and growth will hug the Confederation Line.

    I wish we would get the Skytrain in edmonton. LRT is honestly so horrible.

    Preventative maintenance to devise track issues all comes down to finding transit funding in car-centered Individualistic North America.

    If not for the Ford brother's subway delusions, we'd likely be expanding our SkyTrain incarnation (Scarborough RT). Unfortunately, we have a "let's pay more for something that will do less" mentality.

      The first automated metro opened in Kobe in 1981. So maybe a few years 😃. And I believe all the automated lines in Japan have a driver on the train, unlike Vancouver.

      That's not true at all skytrain is one of the only automated rapid transit systems in the world and is the longest automated system in the world
