Just watched this movie for the first time. I agree, it definitely seemed they had really good chemistry, but apparently Lauper said in her memoirs that they didn't get along! That's pretty good acting, because I thought they were good together!

I know it’s a shame a lot of groups from this era put out some of the best music I have ever heard in my life and a lot of it was was. Just used as filler for a album if they were lucky enough to even get a shot at a album! I loved Cyndi Lauper from the get go and at it’s worst it is fantastic and then we get something that stood out for her career (I Drove All Night ) and ( Bring You To The Brink) which I thought that was one of the best music she has ever ever ever did!!!!

This song has been COMPLETLEY forgotten by radio, has anyone heard this played on radio since 1988?
I've never heard it on the radio. I probably wouldn't have known it exists for years to come if it hadn't been for MTV showing the video years ago. Seems to be one of those songs that lots of people still haven't heard. Too bad, I've love it since the first time I saw it on MTV.
Chris Prouty was saying in other video of it, our POP ROCK station played it regularly in OH for a month. They were great back then. Didn't conform, played what peopled asked for.
It played a lot on radio back in the summer of 1988, but Cyndi should have included this on A night to Remember or a greatest hits package! Partly her fault, partly the record companies fault and it was promoted! Fans love the song like Good Enough

Summer 1988... so many good to great movies were released then. Sometimes, you even had movies like this get lost in the shuffle. Lots of cult classics like Short Circuit 2, License to Drive, and Mac and Me got buried by the competition. Not hard to see why when you consider Coming to America, Die Hard, Big, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Willow, and Bull Durham sharing space.

I could have seen Lauper as Harley Quinn in "Justice League" - or even "Suicide Squad" or a sequel to either. Heck, I could see a remake of this video with the actor that played Flash in "Justice League". A serious Lauper? Yes - " Time after Time" ring a bell?
fave line "Im surprised all women haven't tried to kill you!" (and she kinda felt it to Goldblum, lol) shame the script lacked a proper ending but this was during the infamous writer's strike. The white triangle power source isnt at all explained. lol. still a cute movie, well acted by Sands, Goldblum, Falk and Lauper!
