    im still in love with that rootbeer F-bass, the orange sounds really nice, eq is a bit annoying but with the fx loop you can solve that, overall tho the straight sound has that perfect amount of grit too it

    *THANK YOU* for doing a fingerstyle demo of this amp - so far everything has been aggressive pick playing. Daddy want.

    I remember reading somewhere in when the original terror bass came out that there was an added feature on these units where engaging the DI outputs on the side changed the gain knob to something like the volume control for the DI only. I can't find the original post, but was just wondering if you noticed that on your model. Thanks for the review!

    I've had that head for a few months now and I love it. Now I'm trying to find just the right cab to pair it with. I'm currently running it through a Darkglass 2x12 but I'm thinking about using two Orange 1x15s instead, but I like the idea of a pair of 12s to save weight.

      From what I have seen, pretty well.
      I was on a show recently and two of the bands playing were using this AMP.
      Both of them were playing something along the lines of Sludge/Stoner/Post-Metal (One of them playing a down tuned J-Bass and the other a five string ESP-LTD) and the amp didn't fail in providing the huge sounding low-end required for a convincing sound in those genres.

    Own the original bass terror the power didn’t like b strings on a 5 string. Own the ad 200. It always was in the shop. I’ve been gassing on this amp for years but idk if it’s worth it since I own a darkglass 500v2

    Has anyone noticed too much noise in the effects loop? In mine you can see a lot of difference passing the pedals through the loop and putting them through the input...

    Wow, direct question: Did that Bass Player Dude play the sample songs at the Bonedo Testmarathon 4x10 Cabs?? I swear the clip at 00:07 sounds exactly like him because I read (or heard) that test at least 100 times!

    I’m confused, this is a 500 watt head, running to a 400 watt cab… HOW IS THIS WORKING? I thought that was unsafe to do!

    • @basstheworldofficial
      @basstheworldofficial  Před 2 lety +2

      The cab has 8 Ohms which reduces the output power of the amp down to ~60%. But even if it didn’t, unless you’re running the amp at full volume you should be safe

      Plus, the LaVoce speaker in the OBC112 is actually rated at 600w.
      Ade Emsley said he wanted to make sure people didn't blow the speaker, so he downrated it to 400w.
