    The all new Orange Terror Bass is back and it sounds better than ever! This new addition to the Orange line up is one step closer to the sound of the flagship AD200 than ever before providing an all-valve front end. The new Orange Terror Bass is a 500W hybrid bass amp with a valve preamp and solid-state power amp so you get a massive valve sound with solid state reliability.
    The front face is exactly the same as the original Terror Bass, but it adds a Clean switch so you have more headroom and a smoother sound with less grit when the song calls for it.
    The Terror bass is a Class D amp with 500 watts of power into 4 Ohms and 250 Watts into 8 Ohms, but don’t be afraid that you’re going to blow anything up as the limiter switch on the back prevents the output stage from being pushed too hard into 4 ohms. The Terror bass is perfect for any situation, whether studio, practice or live gig.

    We need more videos with the Thunderbird. It has such an amazingly warm sound to it that sends chills down my spine.

      On that note, the Recent Epiphone T-Birds sound just as good. I've owned both.

    I am also a Thunderbird player so, I’m really glad that you chose to use one for this demo. It make a world of difference hearing a bass similar to my own. Now, I’m going orange… that sounds odd but oh well, I’m sold on it! Cheers!

    What a great review! I like your charisma and your genuine excitement when you play bass. Most guitar players are like, I don’t know what to play, when handed a bass. ❤

      Late reply but yes absolutely. At this configuration it puts out 250W, which is quite a lot of noise. I've used this before with a guitar and drums and it was loud enough to be heard.

    Dagan dude i have a Epiphone Les Paul Studio. There is some rust on the pickups. Should i change the pickups? If i should what should i buy?

    • @hh4826
      @hh4826 Před 5 lety +2

      Only if you want to. If they sound good, keep em! If they look ugly, clean em or put different covers on them. You only have to change them if you'd like to

    • @sercan9791
      @sercan9791 Před 5 lety +1

      hmmm... I would like to keep them for now but do you have any recommendations for which pickups to buy?

    • @hh4826
      @hh4826 Před 5 lety +1

      Sadly I don't. You should do some research on it or go on a guitar forum and ask people, you can describe what kind of tone you want and they will try to help you. If you're interested look up Lacetone Humbuckers, they are very high quality unique pickups that you can mix and match. gl man

      Is it rust on the chrome cover or on the windings? You can use 0000 steel wool to clean it up a bit

      baby kidult if you want to replace them, a personal favorite set is either the Seymour Duncan distortion or the nazgul or the custom custom in the bridge and a custom 59 hybrid in the neck,

    How does the 112 cope with a 500 head, isn't it only rated up to 400?

    • @powbobs
      @powbobs Před 3 lety +3

      Cab is 8 ohms. So it sees 250 watts.

    Hey I‘ve got a question
    Could someone tell me how to install all of this? Like where exactly do the cables go in the bass head/cab?
    Thanks

    • @jackemoberts
      @jackemoberts Před 4 lety +1

      You are talking about the setup of Bass/Amp/Cab? Bass output -> Orange Terror Bass 500 Input on the frontpanel at the right side. Backside Terror Bass 500 has two speakon outs. Use one of them with a speakon-cable and connect one of the outputs (it doesn't matter wich one if you use only one cabinet) to the input of the Cabinet (in this case a Orange OBC 112). Before you switch on the Amp, you should set the small switch on the backsite of the Terror Bass 500 to 8 Ohm. If you use multible or different cabs, you should always match the Ohm-setting (impedance) on the backside of the Amplifier.

    Gotta say, I compared the OB1-500 to a Fender Rumble 500 head, and the Fender blew it away.
