I’m 2 minutes in…I’m pretty sure a 454 block has enough meat, to punch it .090 over. That should help the cylinders & give you a reason to buy some new forged pistons. Since you’re talking about go-fast stuff, try not to reassemble the camshaft. The reason is this….if you decide to go with a relatively inexpensive turbo build (maybe an “is an eBay turbo worth it” vid?), running a full roller cam and lifters, mated with some forged .090 over 7.5 to 1 pistons, to allow for higher boost. I gotta tell ya…a 477 Cu.In., some forged internals, turbo, roller cam & lifters and some increased fuel delivery system, I’d be SHOCKED if that motor didn’t make north of 900hp. And can be done relatively inexpensively.
Wrong, wrong and wrong. Peanut ports are fantastic for street engines and they make tons of torque. Square ports are a pain in the street. Great if you plan to shift at 7500 rpm. Best option is the large oval heads. But, peanut ports are a lot of fun. Especially if you like to do massive smokey burnouts.
Dude i have a electric water pump for sbc thats just sitting around. Id love to see it on the firebird and into the 13s. If you'd be interested send me an email address and we can work something out.
On it's way to brand new used.😎👍

Dont use the peanut port heads, use the square ports. The cast peanut port heads crack.

@@msh6865 that’s the plan
Not true ! I have run many peanut port motors and no cracks , and to your rectangle head recommendation that is a terrible idea for a street truck !
Where are the firebird videos
Should have a new video coming out next week.
