I'm enjoying this mechanical autopsy and also learning as we go. Great way to round off a Wednesday evening. Cheers!

They stated “ it locked up” after running it hard? Any sign of over heating in the cylinder wall such as a blueing discoloration? Anyway to tell if a wrong mixture ratio was used? I like your work and videos, Thank You.

Hi Max, as we go further into the engine examination it becomes apparent that the stoppage was "soft" and left little in the way of evidence / damage. Which is good for me, less to replace ! I suspect the original owner may have been too quick to swap the engine. Thanks for watching!

Great video. I have a question that you might be able to answer if that’s okay? I am stripping my px210 (malossi kitted) after it blew a hole in the piston at 60 mph. The clutch stinks of petrol and the clutch breather has been leaking like mad. Is assume it’s not meant to do this? Is this likely to be the clutch side engine seal? Could this have leaned out the combustion chamber and caused the overheating? Any advise would be greatly appreciated? Thanks!

Sounds like what happened to me with a Parmakit 177, seal went, then seized up, so a complete engine build required. 2 strokes can be a real pain sometimes, good luck with it.
