Update: I've seen people being mad that I said things like "We where robbed". I know these are concept arts and a lot of things where never gonna make it into the game, I just wanted to give out my opinions on the costumes/character designs that looked cool and I so happened to overexaggerated the word "robbed" to the point where it seemed like I was being extremely rude to Toys for Bob.
Same applies for the "ran out of time", It was just meant to be a running segment considering the official title of the game but I will admit I was harsh on that one because all devs have limited time to release the game and I do apologize if the tone seemed aggressive.

Any triple A games have a million things they wanna do and achieve but can't becuase of time and have to settle on what can't and can be done... this made it sound like this only happens to Crash and specifically 4 lol

Like let's look at a game like Undertale which was made by a guy who had all the time and support to make it; did it in roughly 3 years. Crash 4 by comparison is a MUCH bigger game with a big team that was under the thumb of Activision and were given the same amount of time to complete it, the end result we got being as high quality as it is that shows off not only the passion and respect for the series, but pushing it forward in a meaningful way is something I wouldn't call "Lazy" TFB actually pulled something pretty good and I'm excited for what's in store for Crash now.

According to an interview with Canadian guy eh, ripper roo was cut because he didn’t fit well with the plot, witch although is understandable, we kind off need a another mini boss
One thing that made me sad is that Coco / Cortex/ Tawna /Dingodile didn't get life boxes with their faces on. You know, like in twinsanity. I don't know how they missed that detail but otherwise amazing game
15:07 they didn't change their mind, they were experimenting and testing before deciding upon a direction. This video makes it sound like a lot of stuff got deleted, cut due to time restraints or altered when the reality is that they were just experimenting and testing a lot of stuff and ultimately decided to not include certain elements because they didn't feel it fitted into the game for whatever reason.

I know that we got dlc for N Sane Trilogy.
But that was done by VV.
I think Toy's for Bob may do it again like they did with Spyro Reignited Trilogy & won't release any dlc for the game..
Toy for Bob in an interview confirmed that they dont have planned to launche any dlc for Crash 4

Great video man! I love crash 4 but yeah there was opportunities you mentioned to make it even greater. Hopefully crash 5 in the future is even better. Certainly the series is in a great place right now.

That Crash The Dragon looks like an abomination but also pretty cool as well. Same with Aku The Dragonfly. Wonder how Coco, Dingo, and Tawna would have looked like in Spyro's world while Spyro and friends would have looked like in Crash's world tho.
Papu Papu, Tiny Tiger, Rok Ko, and Brio are my favorite crash characters outside of crash himself. Hope they show in Crash Rumble
Man I’m kinda sad they cut out ripper roo because I think he would have worked fine in the story and as a boss fight. He would have showed up in a cutscene at the beginning of off beat and should have had a boss after run it bayou.
The most curious thing is that if it appears in the almanac of enemies only and in the scene of 100% of the game only that it does not appear as an enemy.
I would’ve loved a Ripper Roo boss fight, but with how much of a pain Run It Bayou is, i would like dearly hope they would’ve separated his boss to be a separate level from Run It Bayou lol 😭
Like just imagine spending 2+ hours on Run It Bayou trying to get it perfect and finally getting every box, but then getting killed by Ripper Roo right at the finish 😭😭

Next game I would prefer more levels and less gems. I didn't like playing the same level over and over just to complete the game, that was really my only complaint about crash 4 that and how aku aku circles you instead of following you

And I think that cat character that we saw In the epilogue segment in the game could be used in a future Crash game! We'll just have to wait and see. And I'm excited to learn about this character as well.
I guess I would have saved the ripper roo boss fight! For nostalgic reasons. Although it would have been hard while your water skiing!
So much cut content, it's like Twinsanity all over again. If TFB were given more time then possibly this marvellous installment could've been even more spectacular than ever before.
Oh well, we can only hope for more when Crash Bandicoot 5 comes out in the future. Still love Crash Bandicoot 4 to bits obviously.

This comment is probably gonna get drowned in with the others but Imma say this anyway;
While I appreciate the effort put into documenting all the cut content from Crash 4, the subtle phrasing and tone doesn't sit right with me at all. Constantly referring to Crash 4 as 'We ran out of time' or 'We got robbed' is just being completely ignorant to the amount of effort and the restraints the Devs had.
Yes, while it's true the Devs (in theory) could have put in more content if they had more time, but that's not how game development works. Especially AAA level development.
You need to remember that publishers like Activision have set dates they need to release games on, they may not be great every time, but it's a necessity for both financial and release reasons.
Giving a set date for release allows the publisher to give the Devs a set budget that both won't put the company in debt and also turn a profit. If T4B never had a set release date, it's more likely they'll run out of budget by spending more time developing. Not to mention the usually angry 'fans' of crash who demand to see a new game in an unrealistic amount of time, that also puts a lot of pressure on Devs too.
As for the concept art, it's in the name; it's purely concept! It's artist placing their ideas onto paper. Sometimes they'll have a cool idea for a character or character design so they just slap down that idea. But if there's no need to implement the idea, or any if the idea doesn't work with development at any point, it just gets cast aside. And that's why there's so much concept art for Crash 4.
Like think about it, T4B was tasked with the impossible; to create a brand new story and game for Crash. That's no easy feat to achieve in a matter of days, weeks or even months! That's why concept artist just 'spill out' all of their ideas and other Devs pick and choose what works the best.
So next time you see cut content for Crash 4, don't say 'We were robbed' or 'We ran out of time'; it's just simply an idea put to paper. It may be a cool idea, but nothing more than an idea. And who knows, there's a high chance T4B could reuse this concept for a future game too. So just be grateful that we finally got a full, AAA developed title for Crash to start with; because it's been a damn long time since Crash has gotten that treatment before and saw a fully complete game released.

TFB had 3 years of development and this game, in terms of expectations, story, replay ability, completion, character roster and screen time , interactions, and dialogue, was a BIG disappointment.

@@traktor420 I played the whole game and 106% it. Gameplay wise the game is great despite the completion progress. But story wise the game sucks at it. I get that the og trilogy had it where the game focuses on gameplay which I don’t like but IAT made it look like it will have a better story and way more characters because the trilogy was made in the 90’s with limitations. The game lacks character interaction and backstory and for whatever reason The game puts more focus on Crash, Coco, Cortex, Dingodile, Tawna, and Lani Loli. The bosses could be better especially the N Tropys and have more characters as boss fights. And a lot of cut content (not all) should have been kept in, and some post ND characters should’ve return and live up to their true potential to be better characters. But you og fans have to hate those characters instead of giving them a chance.

I don't think the CNK bosses should even be a boss in a plataforming game, for two reasons.
First, they aren't fighters, they are racers, and one of them is just a janitor.
And second, they don't have anything against crash to have a fight.
Krunk was tricked by velo into racing the bandicoots.
Nash was just dumb
Small norm didn't even want to race crash, he just wanted to chill.
Big norm was just confident that he would be able to defend his trophy.
And geary only did what velo told him to.
Also, some of the bosses become friends with the bandicoots after the race ends, so they aren't evil.
I hope modders in PC return to life this concepts.
They could have replaced Louis with Ripper Roo. I love Ripper Roo and only seeing him as a cameo was disappointing as we even got to see N. Brio again.
IF there will ever be a NF 2 the same game whit all the options left out added in like online cups,ghost mode for tourneys etc(no item is stupid) also all the previous skins.

Hey Johnny! I'm the first to comment on this video! I love crash bandicoot 4 it's about time (2020) so much! It's the best crash bandicoot game out there! And It was originally suppose to be skins for Dr.neo.periwinkle Cortex, Dingodile And Tawna! But I'm okay with crash and coco getting some cool skins! And there was some cut content in the game including ripper roo! ( He only makes a cameo in one of the levels. Off beat!)

Well, is August of 2022, and as far as I know, there has been NO WORD of any DLC for Crash 4, and no further games have been released outside of an unfinished mobile phone game.
Im watching this in 2021 and i still haven't heard of that catbat character
NO CRASH IS BETTER THAN TWINSANITY, and that game wasn't even finished.
So, it was not only a suspicious of mine the fact that this game had something missing...the plot is too strange, quiet forced...in my opinion, it's good to know how Cortex and N.Trophy came back from past, but after that, I think that considering perfectly canon "The wrath of cortex" and the other games is 100% legit.

All games have cut content, they don't have everything that they're going to out in the first try, as things develop sometimes you just gotta kill something that's not gonna add to the final product. Dont assume they can just add everything.

If only the deadline of the finished game were longer before expiring, Crash 4 would have been way ahead of its time for performance, maybe they can use Crash 5 for the skins that didn’t make it in 4.

Honestly, I'm glad we didn't get to play as the other characters in the N-Tropy fight with how unpolished each of them are. That would have made it far too annoying.

What is new character
I like the idea of more skins for the other characters but this game, while it has a really solid core gameplay, is such a chore to complete because of how much you have to replay the same stages (in full or in portion). It went way overboard, in my opinion.

They could always add the cut content back in as dlc once they have time to polish it. Wouldn't put it past Activision to go for dlc.
