      Why do they have different Node numbers?
      I have a AC2200 & I'm getting a WHW 0301.
      All the different numbers are confusing me.
      Will they work?
      Both are Linksys velop

    Thankyou finally someone answers my question, does this system allow you to walk from one side of your house to the other and still be on the same network. Been looking for this answer for hours!!

      Yes and yes, if its a true mesh network then you stay connected to the same network, not the same as WiFi extenders.

    This seems fit for purpose so my question may be more technical in nature. My WiFi is from a Huawei E5577 (pocket WiFi) and while the provider's signal to the router seems fine, my streaming devices frequently buffer and drop.......in short, will this help, or will I just end up boosting an overall signal that my devices still don't pick up properly?

    He, my intetnet speed does down drastically when connected to the linksys mesh instead of my base router, how can that be?

    Will this work with traveling, hotels etc. for online gaming?

    • @BillAndersonNS
      @BillAndersonNS Před 4 lety +1

      They have special travel routers that have a wireless band to connect to the hotel, and a different wireless band to create your own wireless connection that you will connect all your devices to. These travel routers have become very popular since hotels have started to limit the number of devices you can connect to the hotel WiFi. When my wife and I travel we often have her iPad, her laptop, her iphone, my laptop my android phone and the hotel allows one of those devices to connect. WHAT?

    I spent 180 thinking it was a router 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ so this is only to extend the WiFi connection

    • @TechforTechs

      in basics yes, it's an advanced extender system that works together

    @13:16 "But we couldn't test all three units together"
    This kind of defeats the purpose of spending $500 on a mesh system doesn't it? Why buy 3 units and then end up only testing one unit because the three units won't work together.
    This sounds like a big fat fail.

    Do you get free wifi from this without needing to sign up to a wifi company

    I purchased a 3 pack, as a Christmas present. Not knowing!!!!! that it requires: a service fee to USE THEM at all... Plus the initial charge for them to begin with. Why doesn't anybody reviewing this product tell you that you have to PAY LINKSYS for their svs as well as your OWN service provider? It should most definitely be included in ANY AND ALL reviews.

    • @TechforTechs
      @TechforTechs  Před 4 lety +1

      Hi Bev, this is something you need to bring up with Linksys, we have set up lots of these units and have never needed to pay them to use the service, they are a mesh-based system that extends wifi from a router, you obviously need to make sure you have a router for them to work as well as an income internet connection from a service provider. That's like telling a car company off for not telling you that you need to pay road tax.

      What service fee? I have never heard of service fee from manufacturer for the router.

    • @jdisdetermined

      @@TuanNguyen-su4yy they have *optional* services you can add for a subscription fee. Additional security and parental control and content blocking "easy button" type stuff for the tech challenged that are updated, managed and maintained by Linksys versus manually configured and implemented.
      I think that's how they get the hardware price down, they're hoping to make up for it with subscription services, similar to game consoles. 👍✌
