Essentially, a taper is just resting so you’re fresh and ready for your race, but there’s a little more to it than that, so let’s delve into the what, why’s and, perhaps most importantly, the when’s of a TAPER.

Important Tips ! Thank. You Guys. Could please make a video with a comparison of treadmill training and road training for running workouts, how realistic and efficient is the running indoors to prepare for a race in compare to training outdoors. Thank you guys ! You are awesome!
I like mixing them both in. Running outside is harder for me with hotter weather/Sun, hills nutrition and pavement. Throwing in a treadmill once per week seems to help my body recover while still running. , but I do rest of the runs outside, because you just can’t simulated running outside on treadmill. Running outside is also not a boring for me on long runs
Best Taper video yet. Swim the most, then Bike, chill on the running. Got it!
Thank you guys!! You answered sooooo many questions that I had about tapering. Truly appreciate all your vids since they’ve gotten me ready for my first 70.3!
I think tapers are personal too. I taper 3 weeks for an Ironman, my peak week is 16.5hrs and I start the taper after that. I train on all the same days but at a reduction each week. Week 3 is 75%(12hrs), week 2 is 50%(8hrs), race week 25%(4hrs). This is what works for me but for some it wouldn’t be enough of a taper and others would be too much.
Great video as always!
Thanks for the useful tips. I just started my taper today, for the Friday's Olympic Distance in Samorin, Slovakia. See you guys there at the Collins Cup.
Great video! I'd love to know more about maintaining fitness/peaking/tapering when you've got multiple races within quite a short space of time.
Thank you!
How do you taper your food intake on rest / recovery days? I find that I eat just as much, if not a bit more, on days that I don’t workout. i.e., I’m paradoxically hungrier if I don’t exercise. Anyone else?
eat like a man
Where is Hether?
thank you, good info! are you brothers? 😝
I still didn't get what is taper??
Can someone please explain
Some on screen bullet points for your summary at the end......
I hear for darts you taper the number of pints pre match.😂😂😂
