The Isle of Lolland has many dolmens, megalithic chambers, long barrows and mounds and was part of a rich neolithic culture. The first site is a megalithic chamber hidden in trees in a field near the Frejlev Skov complex. We also visit the Flintage Megalitgrav Dolmen that has one of the largest capstones in Denmark. Includes exclusive aerial footage.

It’s great to see some of the sites in Denmark being covered here. I’ve been to multiple in Denmark and always love exploring and looking at them. Frejlev Skov is actually one of the larger trips I am planning on doing later this year.
Endelig. Cant wait!
Præcis
I love how MegalithomaniaUK shows us these wonderful megalithic sites that no one else does. This a new site to me...you guys Rock ! (pun intended)....peace to ya.
Nice one... You got a lot there
Incredible place, the effort to get these capstones in place must have been tremendous. The neat stacking of those tile like stones in between the large stones is amazing; all even and looking quite artistic in this setting, don't remember seeing them placed as many as this before between stones but I suppose there are. Think some of these boulders were chosen because of their shapes of animal/faces etc. Avebury stones have quite a few 'chosen' stones I always think. Great aerial views. Thanks Hugh!
Hugh, thanks for sharing your joy and excitement when showing us these sites! I love your enthusiasm about our mysterious past. I enjoy watching your videos, they are the next best thing to being there.
The veery last shot of the end of that Dolmen, did no-one else see the 'Face'? Before it breaks away to HN walking away! At -1.23.
Yes, and an elongated skull!
@Calcifer 10:15 It's on the right side end facing out. Shmushed nose, squinting eyes and a wide smile.
I think it's natural, but yeah. It's there!
Another brilliant show, thanks again. 👍👍
Imagine it's nighttime, you're stuck out in a storm, you see one of these and run for the shelter, only to run straight into all the Spider webs! 😱
That looks suspicously like a Knub at, 04:13 on the large horizontal stone.
Love the profile of the second one
Nice video's thanks for it grtz From Holland 🤗
They are all recorded, and protected. And there is a lot of information in danish.
u sure these are all always graves? in the urals theres similar age dolmens/cromlechs, but chambers/kists even have relatively recent memory of usage (5-10 centuries) they kept birch bark scriptures about pagan tribal laws in them, so contestants can verify the chieftains judgement, there was an elder/retired shaman living nearby with the sole purpose of keeping an eye on and producing it, he didnt do the judging
Im not. Danish officials have estimated that there once was 30.000 graves of big stones, build from year 3500 - 3200, that is 100 "graves" a year.
My guess is, that the original purpose was storage for fermented vegetable and other food items.
The way the wee stones were built horizontally are the stonework in Orkney and Caithness, could they have walked across Doggerland in those days?
Fascinating wee video again Hugh, unknown territory to myself!
Like
no these were build 3000-3500 BC , Doggerland disappeared under the water 5700 years ago
Hello fromdenmark.👍🌹
My motherland. My ancestors. The most beautiful culture in the world.
Very nice. Can you take some magnetometer readings?
Thanks so much from a Dane
That is carvings!!
The first one is called: "Store Guldhøj Jættestue"
Who ever or what ever did this appears to have had the ability to use and lift extremely heavy stones in the way modern humans, when living in non modern environments such as the tribes of the Amazon, would likely use wooden materials.
Very fascinating and intriguing indeed...
Hugh, the specific weight of Granite is approx 3 tons per cubic metre so you are overestimating both big rocks by some way. Otherwise another fascinating video :)
Skeletons of giants removed I bet.
be interesting to know the alignment of these barrows in Lolland, e/w or ne/sw..have lived in Lolland a while and the region is full of these. Go up pretty much any country road and there are these little islands in the middle of fields. In other countries these fields would have been 'optimised', enlightened Danes seem to respect their ancient culture, and you have to respect them for that.
Music ?
Seems to me that there should be some bodies like giants somewhere close by!
👍
It's like scenes of planet of the Apes of bygone eras.
If this is a burial chamber, what happened to the remains?
yes there were many remains, in 1 of these in Denmark remains from 100 people were found, they were buried over many years , so not all at once, it seems like it was just parts of the bones that were buried in these structures not all the bones from 1 human,- it was some kind of ritual and the stones were placed after the full moon, some places it's mainly animal bones, I think the remains are in the Museums most in the National museum of Denmark in Copenhagen
The Neanderthals made Stone hedge,,, I went in a trip too and they stated that too.

People did not live in these things rather spiritual seekers did such as the sadhus of India
Living in a tombstone is associated with demojic possesion .
