Something to do with time travel & obtaining GaoGaiGar some time between the battles with EI-02 & EI-03. Personally, I think I would have snagged the Star GaoGaiGar with the improved StealthGao 2 for better maneuverability in space & the Phantom Rings.
@TechnicalJimActual If I remember correctly, the Star Gaogaigar adds a lot more weight due to the boosters and thus would make the movements slower as a result. Hence why the last fight of Gaogaigar had to use Stealth Gao I. That and they had to scrounge up the Super AIs of all the other Braves to have them pilot each Gao Machine as a quick fix.
It's not surprising, when you consider that GaoGaiGar's animations were almost completely recycled from the last game (T), which was made in less time than 30
@@dann9300 Gaogaigar got really stiff animation while Gaofighgar though few attacks but has more fluid animation with it for example compare between Drill Knee animation of both unit
We all know that the majority of the budget goes to getting the licences, the majority of the remaining goes to the debuting series, and if they have ANY left over they can MAYBE update one attack animation on one of the returning series.
TV robot animation is always stiff even on 35 mm stock footage, the cleanest cut is always going to look a bit rough, too bad the animation staff on the SRW games (And I mean modern console games The mobile ones are actually pretty decent considering they have some former handheld staff) can't clean up their very own animation for the next games.
