It's harder to watch these now because every time he says "I've never been there, but I want to go" it makes me sad.
😢
This is gonna sound messed up but i have a hard time beliving that he would dedicate over 15 years on Mandarin (more than any other language) and instead go to Taiwan, korea and japan but not China, am i crazy?
So true...I almost broke down in tears when I first found out of his passing. He inspired me to get into Mandarin. I had been learning Japanese for a long time before then, as well as several other languages, but I always avoided Chinese because of the tones. Look at it now, it's not that bad, and Mandarin Chinese is actually easier than Japanese or grammatically. In fact, it's easier than most European languages as far as grammar. The difficulty, of course, lies in the characters. Anyway, I digress. Laoshu was amazing and I really wanted to meet him someday...Such a great guy with a really fun personality
@@edwisongogo6326it could have been he couldn’t get a visa approved for it. Japan, korea, Taiwan are all a lot easier to get in to as an American. Who knows, really?
@@Alextillom yeah we will never know just suspecious u know, he never mention any visa complications either u know.

I would straight up watch this as a regular TV show or something. "Moses speaks to the world", something like that. TV show idea aside, this is seriously some next level game right here.

I know right.
so proud he speaks Maso, he can speak it better than me :-)

man...
InToTheNetherMc It's even more wonderful that no one got offended. Some people just get offended so easily these days, it's nice to people just having a laugh.
I think it's a cultural thing. There aren't as much foreigners in Poland as in for example Sweden, so the people would not think about things like racism as seriously. Saying someone is an Asian shouldn't be seen as offensive, and it would really be weird to avoid using that word in their presence. What the woman in the video meant was probably that Moses doesn't look like a typical Polish man, and she would have assumed he can't speak Polish because of that.
But I know what you mean, today some people are offended very easily. I don't like to judge others, but come on, if you are an adult, don't act like a child.
Haha, same. I don't know why referring to someone who's black as 'black' is offensive, or being surprised when they know more polish than a white person (poland is white!) is also racist. I hope this sensitive culture starts to chill out in time.
Like others said, we don't have many people from different races, seeing a white foreigner speaking Polish is pretty rare, but there could be a reason, like having a Polish family or something. Seeing a Black/Asian people speaking polish (or any other Slavic language - Slavic countries usually have very homogeneous population) is like winning a lottery.
Being rude, universally, is for example asking someone, if he has fake jade on his necklace... And you asked a Chinese guy this question...
They don’t be prepared for you to speak the mother tongue 😂😂 it’s like for a spilt second they forget their own language until they realize you actually can communicate with them

Your humbleness is so impressive. You always just tell people a few of the languages you speak instead of bragging. The first guy was shocked that you knew 3 other languages but he has no idea.
He knows about 3 fluently, the others just enough for basic conversation.
Lord Vader nah in one of his videos he said he can speak 16 fluently and most conversationally, others just basic
Chinese Japanese Korean Cantonese is his most fluent I'd say;followed by Somali Spanish etc..
Just because he says it doesn't mean its true. He stumbles all over the place trying to remember words. Pay attention to what he says, it's always the same thing: where are you from, i'm learning it myself, etc. He goes by the script.
It's more fun if he doesn't tell them, because then all the languages he speaks becomes revealed naturally in the conversation and it's way more funny to see their reactions.
Lord Vader he still fluent in more 4 languages normal people dont speak that many
I know he felt like a kid in the candy store with all them different nationalities in 1 spot...he super practice in on this vid.
@Radar Prince somehow I don't believe that Laushu is practicing. I believe he's toying with them when he acts like he doesn't remember. It keeps the conversation going, and his targets feel like they're helping him. Masterful!!!!

It was kind of unfortunate that the sushi place had hardly anyone speaking Japanese. I'm planning on leveling up at one nearby pretty soon, and I worry that everyone there will speak Chinese lol.

Wow! I didn't realize Macedonian was so closely related to Polish. I picked up a lot of that conversation!
cOZ IT,S A SLAVIC LANGUAGE....THATS WHY FOR THOSE PEOPLE TO USE THE TERM "MACEDONIAN" IS THE BIGGEST CUTLTURAL JOKE OF OUR TIMES...
You'd be surprised how many languages are based off the same rules and structure. Many similarities across languages and dialects.
It's under one family root. It would be easier for you to learn the languages that come from the same family as your own native languages.
Me too man I speak polish as well and it's pretty similar
I'm British, Polish is my second strongest language, I learned after working in a predominantly Polish warehouse. Really interesting how I can understand Macedonian pretty well having never had any interaction with it.
I know more swear words in Polski too!
Your ability to learn different languages is very commendable! Russian is my first language,English is a second. I tried to learn Hebrew and Arabic, I understand a little bit . As a Russian I understood most of you spoke in this video in Macedonian . But yeah bro, much respect!
Out of curiosity, why learn Hebrew? I can't imagine you'd be using it very much unless you are around Jewish communities a lot.
H he could be Russian and have Jewish family members
I’m learning Russian right now!! Wish me luck!
Tardy Lardy it’s definitely a hard task but you’ll be greatly rewarded in the process. Russian is very difficult language to learn but very rich and beautiful in expression. My blessings to you! Don’t get discouraged, first steps are the hardest, find a native speaker and don’t be afraid to talk. Watch Russian movies, read the books, may be children books at the beginning.
I'm also learning Russian with my friend Daria. I really like the concept of the Cyrillic alphabet and the pronunciation of words being phonetic. I'm working on my pronunciation and accent right now, I speak English/Spanish as my first languages and I learned Swedish when i was younger when my father remarried an exchange student from Sweden. I'm finding it really hard to nail the pronunciation and find that my Spanish more than anything bleeds into other languages even though I speak English as my first language and speak spanish maybe only once or twice a week.
Dude, your videos kept me up until 5am.
lol i'm watching this at 5am too

I work graveyard so I usually go to bed at noon, but I ended up staying up until 3 pm! I'm dead ass tired right now. 4 hours of sleep was not enough.
Amen! I hate it, But I love it at the same time! The whole time, I'm crunching numbers on the clock as to how I can squeeze another video in, and still get enough sleep to function the next day.
When the lady was telling the story about black folks learning Polish it's true. My grandparents lived in a n area in Pennsylvania that they all spoke Polish and Yiddish and the black folks in the area that came in their stores and worked for them could speak a bit of both.
First dude was awesome.
Have you ever caught someone talking smack about you in their native language? Thinking you don’t know? Yeah, that's what I wanted to know. Lol
Chinese are the worst in that regard, hearing many talking about me and I am not even that tall and black.
L3P3 ?....
It happened around me when we first arrived in the United States. I was in San Diego and in apartment complex mostly Somali people. An older white came to visit her friend. As she walked by us, two young girls said " islaantan gaasha ah maxee meeshan ka heesaa" which basically means " what this old nonbeliever/infidel doing here" and she looks at them and says "aniga tiina ayaa gaal ka a'hay, idinkana teeda eedooyin/habaryar" which basically means "I am nonbeliever in your religion and you are nonbeliever in mine, my nieces"... I was shocked because she spoke the language like reporter type of shit, then I found out she spent 35 years in Somalia.

Watching your videos makes me want to learn more languages. I come from a Mexican family, however they didn't teach me spanish because they did not want me to go back to Mexico. I was sad because I could not communicate with my cousin, tios and tias but I taught myself how to speak it.
Dude, When are you going to start visiting some of these countries? From someone who has traveled to over 20 countries, it breaks my heart to see how dedicated you are in learning languages but not getting an opportunity to go the countries where the language originated. I think traveling will take your language learning to a whole new level. Go for it !
It's coming, trust me
Hey Moses, Have you thought about mounting a wide angle lens spy camera to your shirt instead of your what you are using on your glasses or head? This way the video won't shake from side to side when you turn your head. And all you have to do is face someone to capture video when you are speaking with them. Keep up the good content. I'm a huge fan
I was unaware of what that was. I will look into it. Thanks, man.

Rip Laoshu!
the speed is important. you speak everything fast like you're supposed to. most learners speak foreign languages slow.
Bieddru Huggy Falsaperla ... quite true. I think it could also depend on the approach when learning the language. Some courses slow down the speed rather then having normal speech speed.
Vittorio da Regno Unito I wasn't talking about courses, I was talking about Moses' gift for languages that let's him speak at normal speed after 2 months of study as opposed to the rest of the world of language learning.
Bieddru Huggy Falsaperla ... ah I see. Yes, it's impressive. I think his immersion method helps and speaking straight away as well.
Vittorio da Regno Unito indeed. His genius seems to be his passion for and diligence for learning languages. He's always learning or working on one language or another. Without that passion and his charm for interacting effortlessly with strangers, no method in the world was going to help or else everyone would be like Big Moze. Let's give him his accolades.
Bieddru Huggy Falsaperla ...yes, I give Moses huge props. What I was trying to say is that he doesn't shy away from speaking in the target language early. I've since followed some of his advise and my language skills have picked up.
Bruh I ran across your video and man I gotta say I'm impressed the reaction you get when they realize you can speak their language man it's priceless.Im inspired bruh I think that's an awesome thing you're doing.

RIP my great language friend we still have these great videos to remember you by. Hopefully your chatting with all the languages in heaven making friends everywhere.
It's hard to hear him say "nobody cares" because now and days it's so true. I feel as if culture has been forgotten. No-one takes the time to learn and understand other cultures either. Some are quick to either judge or not bother. Staying in ones bubble does no-one any good. Just found your channel last night (it was in my recommendation) and I subscribed instantly.
100% in agreement with you. It's a very dangerous mentality to have, especially when there are people who don't bother learning languages because "everyone speaks English". It's very close-minded and false. Plus, languages are part of people's identity. Anglophones who travel to other countries and expect locals to accommodate them by speaking English is very shortsighted and arrogant.
RIp man this level up was one of the craziest especially at the end
