Can You Beat Fallout 3 And Fallout: New Vegas At The Same Time? (in text form)
The short and sweet version of how this works is as follows: Get 2 computers and a PS4 controller. Connect the PS4 controller to computer A via bluetooth then to computer B via the controller’s cable. Launch whatever games you wanna play, and if all goes well, you’ll be able to control both games at the same time with one controller.
I thought for a while about different ways to capture the footage after I’d gotten this idea to work properly. But in the end I decided on arguably the worst way, a camera pointed at both screens. I wanted to show both screens at the same time as proof that I controlled them both. Using something like OBS to capture the gameplay on both computers as well as with a dedicated camera pointed at both monitors would’ve been pretty convoluted. And for the last few months I’ve been using an Elgato Capture Card to record all my PC-based challenges after having frame rate issues with OBS.
Also, fun fact, one of my computers is an iMac that I bought in August 2018 and I still have the protective plastic that came around the thing wrapped around the computer. I hope that annoys you as much as it doesn’t annoy me.
Once I got everything working as intended, I began the challenge. I got this idea from seeing Pikasprey Yellow play Pokemon Sapphire and Ruby at the same time, but this is completely different than that. For all intents and purposes, those games are the same, you got to the same towns, battle the same gym leaders, there are just a few differences between them. But Fallout 3 and New Vegas are NOT the same game, which is where the challenge comes from. The builds for each character were based around one thing: speed. I wanted to get through the games as quickly as possible. - Hry

My favorite part is when you're attacking an enemy in one game, while simultaneously looking like a man who accidentally took all the acid and is battling an epic beast that you can't quite see in the other.

Sorry friend, there are people who need a good punch in the face sometimes. It’s the only thing that’ll reach them. Words don’t work. People have bad attitudes sometimes, they think they’re better than everyone, and they just need to have some humility instilled in them. Plus, fighting is fun. Not the pain aspect, but you really don’t feel that until the couple days. It never hurts in the moment. It’s just a soreness pain the day after. Fighting really isn’t all that bad unless killing is involved. In that case I completely agree. Avoid it if you can.

I like how even though New Vegas was the game running unmodded on an iMac, it was Fallout 3 which crashed three separate times.
Apparently New Vegas was way more unstable at release. I remember seeing videos with missing textures everywhere.

In my most recent New Vegas save I did every quest I could and all the DLCs before I even talked to Sunny Smiles. Doing the tutorial quests at max level and using an anti materiel rifle instead of the varmint rifle was definitely an interesting feeling
I remember doing somethink similar in Skyrim. Done the tutorial mission and the 1st time Jarl Balgruf saw me I was in daedric armor lvl 70
shooting the 50 cal at the bottles and accidentaly killing trudy in the saloon as well as a poor gecko a mile away

Fallout New Vegas IS a pretty buggy game, due to the VERY little amount of time Obsidian had to make it. How ever, I do believe that his Fallout 3 is crashing so often because it's modded.
@BeTheDeathOfMe Fallout 3 runs well without mods, unless your spamming mini nukes you should always have 60 fps, Fallout 4 however, your lucky to get 5 fps downtown
Fallout 3 doesn't crash as much as people make it seem. And most of the crashes are user error.

I love how this inadvertently showcases how incredibly long the fallout 3 tutorial/intro is. You can almost be at the strip before leaving vault 101.
I mean he did skit the quest with Goodsprings which can be considered part of the Tutorial. I at least see it as such. Sunny teaching you all the "new" mechanics, then the faction tutorial and so on. Fallout 3's Tutorial is long, but both are comparable with each other I think.

I just had an interesting idea for a challange. "Can you beat [blank] while only watching a [blank] minute delay stream?"
the essence of the challenge is to play whichever game you want to apply the challange to but instead of watching the screen with a direct feed to the game you stream the game or otherwise cause a delay as you watched the delayed feed on another screen. How much delay isn't exactly important but the more delay the more challanging I assume so it can be taken as far as you're willing to try.
It could be a cool challange as you'd have to predict all the actions that are going to need to be made before you have the ability to see them or the results of your immediate previous actions. So it might even be an impossible challange if a game requires a lot of precise actions.

@SorrowMoss Yeah Sekiro seems like the kind of game that would be absolutely impossible with this kind of challange due to how much precise movement you have to make. You are already needing to predict enemy movements under normal gameplay much less with a delay.
But I'd be curious on if Mitten could beat a fallout game on a 30 second to 1 minute delay. Because with that he'd have to guess a lot of things like where he and enemies will be 1 minute from what he can see. Or if that's not enough maybe a 5 minute delay. Again the challange idea only requires a delay and the amount can vary based on how much is needed to make the game more challenging.
Fallout wouldn't be that difficult compared to other games due to VATS

I like how you filmed this one, it feels very cozy and instead of a stock standard dual screen thingy to show it off. That and you could've fooled me that the background was just an overlay with how still it was besides the light from the monitor reflecting off your keyboard.
