  • Spraying the pasture with GrazonNext HL to kill all of the undesirable weeds so we can get a hay crop growing for future harvest. GrazonNext allows you to spray your pastures and then put your animals back out to graze, hence the name. It will kill 102 different types of weeds and woody products so we are hoping for good things to come from this application, we may have to do a second spray of select areas we may have missed!

We had no knowledge about Grazon until this year. Son bought hay for 2 weathered goats that were given to him last year. Used that hay left over hay this year on our garden. That is when we found out about Grazon through research searching for answers to why our garden was curling and dying. We went back to the farmer that sold the hay and asked if he used Grazon. YES, but he never told us when we bought it. Grazon lives in the soil for YEARS and kills for years. Manure from the animals that graze on the hay sprayed with Grazon will also kill a garden. There has to be a better way. . .

Just be aware of the product label that says "Hay can only be used on the farm where the product is used". IF you sell that hay, and it gets in the animal manure (which it is designed to do....concentrate to prevent weed growth from manure), and somebody uses that manure on their garden.....IT KILLS THE PLANTS IN THEIR GARDEN. Yeah.....ask me how I finally figured out what was killing my garden.

I used grazon in the past. Grass grows on my 80 acres, but if you dig in the dirt or flip over a cow pie, my dirt is dead. No worms. Nothing.

I don’t know where you live but in my opinion that could be due to over use of sprays and chemical fertiliser
Granted the sprays are good for killing weeds but if used over and over again it will definitely without a doubht kill a lot of the natural occurring properties eg worms coming upto the surface naturally airating the soil
Hope this helps from wet ireland

I hope as a good farmer or rancher and a good neighbor. If you spray with grazon that the cow manure can’t be used in garden. Grazon apparently it stays in soil for awhile.

Yes your correct, I’m just trying to kill the weeds and get my pastures back to having grass and not weeds. I don’t sell or giveaway any hay or manure so not really an issue for me. When I do start my garden I will have to get manure from a neighbor. Thank you

By FEDERAL LAW if you sell or give hay or straw away you are to tell them that you used Grazon.
It stays in the plant and soil for 18 months. Cows or horses eat it their poop has it.
Us gardener are having a HELL of a time. It killed all my flower plants bc is the soil I got from a farmer that used grazon.
Gardeners composting hay or straw it’s ruining their garden!!!

You are 100% correct and exactly as I stated in my video “Use GrazonNext with caution”. I am not selling, nor giving it away. I am merely using on my farm for personal use and it is working absolutely awesome for MY application . The FEDERAL LAW that you speak of does not apply to me for those reasons.
GrazonNext will kill your gardens just as dead as those weeds that I’m targeting in my fields. When I speak of wanting to hay my fields, it is so I can have hay for my animals rather than purchasing hay I know nothing about.
It is an awesome product but makes your life as a gardener miserable. I completely understand that and hate that you have had negative experiences with it. The farmer should have explained that they had used it prior to you getting it.

HOW ABOUT SMALL 3-6 AC PASTURES?

    • @bdradley1
      @bdradley1  Před 3 lety

You can spray any size you want. You could even put in a one gallon sprayer and spray targeted plants. The recommendation for 110 gal (like I was spraying) was 96 oz so it’s under an oz per gallon. Just be careful around your plants/garden because it will kill them dead!

@Linda Sisosn any kind of chemical is dangerous to one thing or another obviously.
I've spent the last 8 year's spraying noxious weeds on millions of acres of land across montana, Wyoming and Idaho.
If you are responsible at applying herbicides it's very safe. It won't ever be labeled for rangeland because it has a half life, it leaves a residual on the ground that presents certain weeds from germination, while letting native grasses and plant's grow. It will latch onto organic material that cow's poop out and it will kill grass where the poop is.
As long as you know what you're doing it's perfectly fine to put on the ground. People who think all chemicals are bad are just wanting to watch the world burn.

Dude, that dangerous chemical you are using ends up in our water system. They have found it in women's breast milk because it's getting into EVERYTHING. It's so toxic, it ends up going through four stomachaches of a goat and can still kill fruit trees and gardens with it's compost. If it can survive all that and still be that highly toxic to living things, your spraying is NOT staying just on your property, it's leeching into everything around where you're using it. Think of your poor animals!

GEOENGINEERING IS WHAT IS DESTROYING YOUR GARDEN - NOT GRAZON- most farmers dont even use this herbicide as it is VERY expensive, & when used properly & not used for "gardens", it is the best product out there & is safe for our grazing animals, which most other highly toxic herbicides you cant graze your animals on it for 30+ days or more , so if our little farm animals are perfectl;y safe with this product & it prevents NOXIOUS weeds from taking over your property, we will keep spraying this great , safe herbicide ( & I am taking applications for free weed pullers ANY TIME weeds lovers ) ( & with our GLOBAL MAN MADE WEATHER ENVIRONMENTAL DISASTERS GOING ON , I SUGGEST YOU DO YOUR GEOENGINEERING RESEARCH TO KNOW WHAT EXACTLY IS KILLING YOUR GARDENS , & IT SURE AS SHOOT IS NOT GRAZON.
