This is why I love this show. Love how they answered the second caller. Boy, that brought tears to my eyes. You are the best at this and for this only you already make the world a better place. I went through something similar, didn't have the same baggage as she does, but I developed a bad relationship to food and exercise like she has and I was able to beat it from listening to the show. It took about a year or so after I started adopting the boys's advice on several fronts. I still remember the day I finally was able to say that I felt like myself again.
You guys’ helping Rachel brought me to tears. Thank you for how much you care and for going above and beyond to support your listeners and fellow fitness lovers.

I am so grateful for the advice and information given to caller #2. I am going through the same thing only a decade farther down the road. The damage to the body gets so much worse if she can help herself now she won’t feel like a complete train wreck while also going through massive hormone changes later. Keep fighting girl! I was listening to the podcast, had to pullover, search this on CZcams so I can see this very powerful phonecall/interaction between Rachel and our MindPump bros. I got goosebumps. Some people are born to be teachers, firefighters, doctors, etc. you guys, have found your calling. This is what y’all are meant to do. Thank you so much! My prayers goes out to Rachel. I love yoga so much but not the restorative type so I totally understand the aversion, coming from a yogi. Mind pump is the best, and all three of our guys (even Doug, he has her number), showed a different side of them that contributes to Rachel’s path towards healing.

So GLAD for this episode. The woman in your first question is super helpful for me. I’m old-school workout 5 days a week sometimes 6 for 1 hour to 1.5 hours constantly moving lifting barely resting between sets . I’m going to order Maps Anabolic and try my darndest to stick to that program (3 days) and walk the other 2.

MAPS Prime and Prime Pro have been the main contributors to my new functional mobility. I always start with a couple of those exercises slow and controlled and now I’m finally able to do an ass to grass squat with no problems!

It is extremely hard for me to rest a full 3 minutes between sets! It feels like I am not working hard enough even though I’m sweating like crazy from the weight training. So helpful to hear you talk about this. Now I will rest knowing my body is building muscle :)
And oh my God do I feel stuffed from trying to reach my protein intake goal. Can only achieve it by adding protein shakes.
I love to use veggies though for carbs because of the nutrients, fiber and polyphenols they provide. Thank you so much for this conversation. Super motivating to keep going in this direction :)

I LOVE maps aesthetic!! crazy how at my age and training experience (consistently well over 10 years now) I've been able to add 20lbs to my shoulder press in the past 7 months. I JUST hit 55lbs for 5 on the barbelle standing overhead standing press!!! This is my 3rd time running aesthetic now been changing it up each time and I'm running it on a cut too!!!
I do need to work on functional flexibility. I'm doing your MAPS 15 program, and it's definitely helping me get stronger, which I love. You guys are helping so many people with all your smart, insightful advice! 🧠

Hey fellas!!! You guys continue to do great work! God Bless all of you and the mission you're on. Having been through some rough spots in my life around addiction, watching how your grace and kindness with Rachel got me all choked up. It was a beautiful thing to watch. I love what you guys are doing and am grateful to have Mind Pump as a part of my weekly routine. I'm 62 and have been strength training for just over a year 3 to 4 days per week, cut way back on the cardio eating a bunch more protein and feeling great. I really felt that second live call on a personal level. Not comparing my experiences with hers, but I was definitely also using exercise in an unhealthy obsessive, abusive to self kind of way. I unfortunately had to be forced to scale back drastically due to aches, pains, minor injuries. Thankfully I had no major injuries during that period of my life. The Mind Pump team are genuinely good people for trying to help her get out of her predicament before things get even worse.

I want to come on the show. I’m 41 and have been training since I was 15 years old. My vision always was geared towards longevity. Looking and feeling young with a high quality of life. A lot of the philosophy you guys talk about sounds like the dialogue I have with myself and my writings in my training journals that I’ve been keeping for 20 years.

From your advice. After 3 months of split Squats and single leg presses, and mobility exercises. I can now bb squat full depth perfect form thanks guys
Stretching and warm ups have improved my lifting a lot. I’ll have to look further into increasing flexibility as my lifts progress. Great tips for everyone in it for the long haul!

My favorite podcast to listen to while working out, learn something new every time. I had no idea I had to rest 2 minutes in between sets, I usually rushed through that part to keep my sessions shorter. Thanks
Yea, if I do squats I need my 3 minutes pause. If you can pump out squats with 1 minute pauses maybe try slowing down the exercise or if your reps are 10+ maybe add weight?
But yes, with long rest phases it can feel like you dont get much done.
@@CptApplestrudl yeah a lot of times I feel like I need more rest but I thought shorter rest between sets would be better for hypertrophy for some reason. I also trained all 7 days with an upper/lower split before realizing I actually need rest days. I’m still kind of new to lifting and still working on my form. Having trouble feeling RDLs where I should, probably doing them wrong but I can’t figure it out even after watching every video I can and going slow. I think I’m starting too heavy actually because my form is off on those. Still getting a bunch of noobie gains though lol
