Prince Rama Varma introduces Ms. Amrutha Venkatesh - Swathi Sangeethotsavam 2017

One of the highlights of the Swathi Sangeethotsavam, held at the KUthiramalika Palace in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India, every year from January 4th to 13th, is the absence of any inaugural or concluding ceremony with several bigwigs invited and so on, unlike many other cultural events. The organizer Prince Rama Varma always maintains that the artists of the day are themselves the chief guests and that any other invitees would make things redundant.
For many of us however, including most of the artists who perform there, one of the highlights is the simple, gentle, extremely generous, informal, insightful and heartfelt introductions that Prince Rama Varma gives extempore, year after year.
So this year, I bugged Varmaji to give me All his intros and here they are as a playlist.

The great humility with which the great Maestro introduced his disciples and juniors is something unparalleled in the history of any field of art! He did not forget even the Tamboora player! This is a best piece to learn how to introduce a speaker for the day. A royal lineage, and humble attitude many times don’t go together.

Best Introduction of the Artists where in The Prince Rama Varma included the the Thambura Artist, which is not being followed in most of the concerts. I first heard the programme, and as I was listening I concluded that Miss Amrutha Venkatesh must be the student of Sri Prince Rams Varma . Great Sir .
