This video shows you all of the maintained campsites in Banff National Park and information that will make your camping experience in the park, more enjoyable.
TIP when watching this video: At the end of each small section of the individual campground I have a screen that gives valuable information, please pause the video if you wish to have more time to view the screen.

Love Lake Louise camping but it’s so busy. Book early!
Thanks for the that. Um yes, ridiculously busy - book months ahead or be frustrated!
Is very interesting seeing the campsite prices in Canada! We would love to visit once we travelled around Australia, and Banff is at the top of my bucket list!
did you end up going to Banff? im from Canada and i still wanna go camping there!
Lake Louise soft sided for me. Valuable info, thanks
Thank you very much
Such a beautiful place!
It really is!
Jackson Hole v Banff - who wins?
You're going to see the same comments: book early, camping in Banff can be frustrating and great video.
You’re right and that’s why I did this video. Getting a campsite in Banff often leads to great frustration so planning months ahead is the only way to do it.
yes...I'm one of those commenting
Banff is awesome but I like kananaskis
Totally agree. Have camped in Kananaskis too and it actually may well be better.
Actually Very Nice full service
Thank you!
Just to clarify your comment on water. Only Silverhorn Creek campground has no water. All the other campgrounds have potable or safe drinking water. You only need to treat water when collecting it from streams or lakes.
Thanks for the comment. I honestly was not aware I made a comment on water, but then again it was some time ago I made this video. When I say "unserviced," I am referring to the Banff Park website and their use of the word, "unserviced." I took it to mean no electricity (not, no water).
how early do I need to book campgrounds? I'm worried that I might leave it too late
Book now!
Others are right, book early in the year! I have the website in the description and you can book directly through there.
I want to camp in July when should I book, when do they open for bookings?
@@milankamcronald5621 According to the Parks Canada website, you can reserve a campground in Banff starting March 23 (8am MT). Check out their website (and then click "See Launch dates and times). parks.canada.ca/pn-np/ab/banff/activ/camping
Thanks for the comment.
Cannot book until March 23 of this year (2023)! parks.canada.ca/pn-np/ab/banff/activ/camping
Hi! Does the "fees" means the price paid by day in the camping? thanks! :)
Yes it does! Correct.
Hi, does this mean there is no free location for camping in Banff? I have yet to camp in Canada, and I thought I could walk into any forest and pick any place to set my tent...
There is back country camping but you still need a permit. Here is a website where you can find all of that information. parks.canada.ca/pn-np/ab/banff/activ/camping Incidentally, I'll be updating the camping guide for 2024 - heading to Banff (for a week) tomorrow.
When you say 'no services', does that mean 'no water or electricity outlet at your pitch', or 'no water, electricity, toilets, showers at all anywhere on the site'?
Excellent question - I am referring to no electricity and other connections. For example, Waterfowl Lakes is reliably primitive and has no electrical or hookups but still has a toilet, drinking water and a dumping station - yet, this is classified (by Banff National Park)) has having no services.
