A VISA Officer doesn't want to know your entire life story. He wants to make a quick decision to either give you the VISA or not. There's only 3 things going inside his mind in an F1 VISA
1. Does he know what he's doing (Like does he know the collage, the courses he opted for the majors he's opted)
2. Does he have enough finances to support US education (this might be pretty crutial. If he feels you'll end up driving cab in New Your, he's gonna reject you)
3. What's his plans for the future ? So, does he plan on coming back to the country or staying in US...this is also very crutial. If he gets an imoression that you might stay there even after your VISA expires and/or you're not a valuable asset to the country, there's a pretty good chance he'll reject you

Parth in my 10th, 12th and undergraduate academic transcripts my parents name column have full given names with only initials(Initial not expanded as surname) whereas in my passport their names contain full given names along with surname. My name is same in transcripts and passport with surnames , will only having initials of my parents in academic transcripts create any problems during visa or college application process for united states...

+Jatt Amarpuriya no it is iust a hoax. A lot of my friends have applied through embassy at Delhi and they had no problems at all.
I do not mean to offend anyone but usully people from punjab choose Canada because they have a major population there.
i am also from punjab but i want to go us i don't want to go canada but i told u about a rumour here so i will practice for my us embassy interview and i have positive hopes of getting visa
