#33 Living in Greece and renovating an old off grid house. Starting a hot tub, New Year and archery.

While filming this video we had to face an energy problem. The concrete mixer which worked almost a whole day during the last video, depleted our batteries significantly. On top of that it was cloudy most of the days in addition to very short winter days and low sun.
This led to a situation when we had to save the energy. That's why I couldn't start welding the gate, otherwise we had a risk to deplete the batteries completely which would be a problem. Having no light would be really bad.
The first thing I do in this video is checking the concrete pouring result I did in the previous video. It turned up well with no noticeable cracks or something. I remove the formwork and cleanup some excessive concrete.
Meanwhile Alexandra continues with gardening, planting new plants and pruning or removing the old ones.
I drive to a store selling metal and buy square tube which I will use for the gate frame.
After that we celebrate the new 2024 Year :) We don't celebrate Christmas, so the New Year is the main holiday for us. We launch some fireworks and I'm doing some archery for the first time in my life.
We plan to have an outdoor hot tub here. It's super hard to dig here during summer since the ground is tough so I dig a pit for it now, while it's winter.
Then I do some work on the bathroom again, mix some cocktails, repair a piece of furniture and cleanup remanings of fallen tree buy by smashing the destroyed terrace pieces using my hammer drill.
