  • A flight from Senai International Airport, Johor (WMKJ) to Sultan Mahmud Airport, Terengganu (WMKN), over 500NM round trip. This is my longest flight yet as pilot-in-command and will most probably be that way throughout my training course.
Aircraft flown in the video is 9M-KEN DA40 NG, and the flight was as smooth as it could get. There were a total of 3 aircrafts, including myself, that were en-route to WMKN. One had an instructor, Captain Rozemen, onboard with another student while the other 2 were solos, I'm included. As you can hear from the video, UNI03 was the callsign that had the instructor while UNI211 was Afifah and myself, UNI213.
Next up in my flight training, Multi Engine! (DA42 NG)

    Why flaps up landing?

We are taught to do both Normal and Flapless landings. Runway lengths in WMKJ and WMKN are 3800m and 3480m respectively. Which is more than 10 times needed for a Class A DA40 aircraft which only needs around 300m of stopping distance. These airport could easily fit Heavy Cat D aircrafts like the A380, 747, AN124.
As for my case, I know my taxiway to vacate is far from the touchdown zone hence I don’t need to fly slowly with flaps to land the aircraft. Not only that, one thing good about flapless landing is that I won’t disrupt any traffic flow for those airline flights coming for approach, because of my speed. Lastly, I have more controllability with flapless during gusty conditions.
In conclusion, there is no harm to land with flaps up. As long as you know the limitations and conditions, you’re completely doing everything by the books.

the reason why you bouncing is because you keep flaps up too much energy when your touchdown, we got 11000ft RWY at KMHR but no student pilot is allowed to use flaps up landing. and during landing you only have 5kt X wind.
