  • From the Video Adventures of Vernon Richards, which centered mostly around the front porch of blues harmonica great Johnny Woods and his wife Verlina, in Olive Branch, Mississippi. Featured here is an appearance by Carl Wayne "Coon" Elder singing "My First Taste of Texas." The Coon Elder Band was well-known in the Memphis area in the '70s and recorded an album for Mercury Records. Coon often played and travelled with Johnnywoods.

That's his mother Mrs Margaret Elder. I miss her too. She would always tell me, "don't ya'll be out drinking late"
