what an absolutely effortless, intuitive, natural musician Alex Chilton was - one of the greatest of all time and yet so little known during his lifetime.
Alex really knew how to rock it on guitar, very underrated player.
I was there, great pre Covid times when Chilton was alive. RIP
Great camerawork especially zooming in on Alex's fretwork on that gorgeous ES-255. Fantastic performer, gone too soon.

This was, apparently, posted 10 years after his passing. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I had the good fortune to see him at a small place (starry plough, berkeley) around ‘96. It was a revelation (and i’d seen him once already: ibeam, sf, 80s)

Nice. From his best solo album. As with all of his music it will maybe take 20 years or more for people to notice, good job he was relaxed about it.

I was there! He played a great cover of Michael Jackson's Rock With You that day. Does anyone know what the exact date of this show was in 1999? I know it was in September at the Cooper Young Fest, but would love to know the specific date of that show. Thx

Incredible song & version. If anybody can figure out the exact chords, or put up a tutorial, I'd love to know. As far as I can figiture out it's in Db with and works with a lot of Major 7ths, but I can't figure out the whole thing out. Thnx
