That staff roll theme always brings me to tears. Maybe because when I heard that theme for the first time, I had this big sense of accomplishment. This game at the time was the biggest game to me, and to finally finish it to the end as a kid, it was just euphoric. Hearing the happy tune in the end as the birds chirped off into the distance and the credits roll some of my favorite moments of the game just to quickly relive it. This game is just amazing. I immediately thought of how Odyssey is doing so well and how the first thing that is always brought up is how smooth it plays. It’s just fun to jump around, and it works so well. It’s basically just a sequel to SM64, yet it trounces so many other massive titles that are way more complex.

Bowser killed half of the mushroom kingdom with the Infinity Gauntlet, so Mario, Luigi and the gang go back in time to correct the timeline. Mind you, at this point "the gang" had 6 Yoshis, four Princeses (2 shadow version) and the "lost" Mario brother; Guiseppe. If you 100%'d Super Mario 40: Resistance and Super Mario 41: Electric Boogaloo you then unlocked the elite strike team of Seal Toad 6, Lakitu: God of Thunder and of course the hidden nation of Wakanda.

It being my favorite game of all time and this video is just so loving toward it, makes it feel good to watch and hear you talk about it. Helps out on dark days. Thanks Dunk.

The ending made me emotional over a game I've never even played...

You know, I wasn't expecting to get emotional today, but damn it, that moment brought back good memories

You see the trick is to just split your self in half then one side goes north and other south

I really wonder what that next Mario 64 will be. That next ‘this is what video games are now’ moment

I love Dunkey and all of his videos. But I think this one is probably my favorite because not only does it perfectly capture how much Dunkey loves this game, but it perfectly reminds me just how much I love this game. Super Mario 64 is probably the first game I ever played. I was 4 when I first played Mario 64, and I thought it was the greatest thing ever. The clip Dunkey does at the end just showcasing the gameplay with the music overlayed brings me back to that memory of sitting on the floor in my room, looking up at the screen, and discovering a whole new world full of wonder and adventures. Ever since then, I've loved playing video games, and I've loved Mario Games. Dunkey, thank you for the amazing video, and for the nostalgia trip.
