      Still it's every Spider-man fan's fantasy to fuck Black Cat with her costume on right? Unless that is Mary Jane. Depends on what version.

    Ah yes. A story that features Doc Ock taking over Peter’s body and using his memories of living Peter’s life and getting it on with Mary Jane to pleasure himself.
    Such a nice showcase of how much comics have matured in the 2010s.

    I also liked this series but I also had my problems with it. I hate what they have done with the Black Cat in Marvel. They have turned her into the new Kingpin and it's really a stupid reason on why she hates Spider-man now unless they have changed that. I haven't picked up Spider-man since this run ended.

  • @Spike1Wesker

    Love the videos. And as a Marvel and spidey long time reader i wanted to clariy that it wasn't that the spider-sense is some generic alert system that didn't pick up the brain-swap attempt. With his spider-sense working correctly, peter can even avoid small threats that are not even known to him consciously. The real coincidence that allowed Ock's golden octobot to get to peter's brain was the fact that DURING said fight with the nu-hobgoblin, some scientist asshole was going about using spider-sense jammers by Kingpin's order, wich negated the ability and made both the fight harder for parker, and allowed the mind breach at the same time.
    I liked the premise of superior spiderman and enjoyed it's run. not as much as i enjoyed BIG TIME in general (and Spider-Island was just AMAZING and oh so satisfying); but the way SS was set up and the execution of it all in TASM 700 felt dirty, cheap and made me hate it. I still do hate it.

    • @comicpop
      @comicpop  Před 10 lety +14

      Totally blanked on that Spider sense amplifier angle! And I loved Big Time. I've got a Slott, Ramos, and Stan Lee signed copy of Amazing #648 to signify my adoration for said event, actually ;)

  • @silverscreemer
    @silverscreemer Před 2 lety +2

    Kingpin had stolen a device that was causing Peter's spider sense to always be on. Like it was warning him about paper cuts and sugar in sodas. So Peter had to kind of go in his brain and "disable" his spider sense. That's how the little robot was able to sneak up on him.

    Superior was the first series i started buying monthly. I liked it in general even if it was controversial. It just seemed to be a fun series. It really didn't take itself TOO seriously, which i liked.

    • @leroyellis9115
      @leroyellis9115 Před 10 lety

      It didn't take itself serious? Could you clarify that, I'm a bit confused by that statement?

    • @BforceFilms
      @BforceFilms Před 10 lety +22

      I feel like it realized that the premise was a little ridiculous, and that everyone knew Peter Parker would return at some point. With those things in mind i think the creators tried to inject more humor into the stories, and just put the character into interesting situations with the time they had. They didn't try to make you entirely like SpOck, but they had fun with the concept of him, and tried to let readers enjoy his story.

    Dude! They have made spider tracers that can be shot from a gun in real life! It's a real problem, in the real world, enables stalkers and has resulted in multiple criminal cases, mostly in Europe. Horible as that is I think it is amazing that spider man can now be on the same level as star trek in terms that an idea imagined decades ago then becomes reality decades later.

    I admit when it first came out I hated it but kept on because of Ghost Peter which meant they of course were going to undo it. But I have since come to like it. Still I agree with people saying it's dumb for everyone not realizing someone had taken over his body. I will say it's not the first time something like that happened. In an old 60s Fantastic Four comic Doctor Doom takes over Reed's body but it gets undone pretty fast.

    • @InoMercy
      @InoMercy Před 8 lety +2

      +Robert Wild Spider-Island was basically Spiderman's finest hour in my opinion. And best of all, no one dies in it except the villain. Hell are even negative deaths: Both Steve Rogers and Kaine come back to life.

    • @InoMercy
      @InoMercy Před 8 lety

      Arnold Palmer He died in Civil war, Spider Queen turns him and Kaine in to Man-spiders (Kaine died in a previous story too. How Spider Queen resurrected them I have no fucking clue), Spiderman figures out how to cure them both, so yeah...Negative deaths.

    • @GarrettKearns
      @GarrettKearns Před 8 lety +1

    I hate this series it flushes all the bonds and friendships Peter has developed over decades. They give such bull crap reasons why Doc Ock fools people I don’t buy it at all. The worst is Mary Jane I’m not a fan of her character it’s so generic and people keep saying how much bond she has Peter, in so many alternate Spider-Mans she is mostly the love interest even through it’s a different world, so the one person who should right away that it’s not Peter and has many reasons to prove that’s it’s not him, she is like who cares I’ll date him and make out with him what is wrong with her, at least she dumps him but than later she steal his web shooters and remember she thought he was Peter, just wow than her excuse for falling for it is oh this kinda stuff happens to him a lot and he should apologize to me are you kidding me he lost almost a year of his life and Doc Ock ruined his name as both Peter Parker and spider man and she wants apology from him, that’s a huge nope. Needed to get that out of way. The stories are so generic and bland and hear people this isn’t like any Spider-Man story before but it’s such generic story that has been done in other media because never in a spider man story so it gets a pass, No! The art work often at times looks so ugly. I hate how dumb the characters are in this series and how much wasted storylines they just flush down because of nothing.
