    Great video! I am going to be ordering my pinion cover. Definitely looks like I will have most of a Saturday into it.

      Yea it takes a bit of time to install but just take your time and it’ll be worth it in the end when your diffs not broken or leaking

    I got the same 1 from custom moto quad. So no more ADC huh.. great video man.

      Jesse Hamm that’s right it eliminates the ADC. My first thought was well that sucks it eliminates that feature but in the 9 years of my dad owning the bike he or I have never once used it. The engine brake works well enough. Dads got a couple miles on it now with no issues.

    I had to fight with getting my bolts off as well. One Allen head became stripped...

      ADVENTURES This Way yea there in a tough spot to get at. You might want to consider replacing the Allen head screws with a regular hex head bolt

    Hey man I love the platform you used to put the 4wheeler on. Do have a video of you making it on your channel. If not I'd love to see how you made it.

      sportsman _source no I don’t have a video of it, it’s my buddies shop and his lift. It’s pretty simple, it’s a square frame for the deck with two sets of arms, on in the front one in the back, and as the winch pulls, the whole platform just pivots up on those arms. If you’d like more info on it I could take video of it some time.

    My Pinion plate broke today. Ugh.
    I have 2015 sportsman 850 SP. What year was this quad? What was the product and part number again? Thank you

      Brett Redden The bike is a 2011 and I’m not sure what the part number was I show a close up of the instructions a couple time’s so it might show up in the video. Or go to the custom moto quad website it’s easy to find what you need

    Have you had many problems with that bike? I want to get a 19 850 HL but am scared about the reliability

    • @ericbrinson9741
      @ericbrinson9741  Před 4 lety

      Haven’t had many problems at all. I think they got all the little kinks worked out in the first couple years they made these bikes. Make sure you check all the suspension bushings and ball joints. If the bike has seen much mud they’re likely worn

      Honda dude only issues so far have been oil getting pumped into the air box. There’s a fix right from Polaris for it. The oil doesn’t drain from the valve train back down to the bottom end properly but it’s not a huge deal to fix. I know at one point the gear on the crank or cam (can’t remember) but it was pressed on and some of them would slip and the timing would get off and they would run like shit so the fix was to weld the gear. That was around 2013 tho, not sure what the newer bikes are like. Also the a arm bushings and lower ball joint wear kinda quick on the older ones especially in mud. But I like that bike they ride nice and have decent power and I love Polaris power steering

      Eric Brinson thanks I think I’m gonna get it but what part do I need to get to fix the oil leak. Ima get that and a billet plate so the diff dosent go and that so the oil dosent leak. I’m just trying to basically bulletproof it

      Honda dude I can’t remember what you need for the oil on the air box issue but there’s tons of videos on CZcams about it
