    Brilliant job Sam, I love making cocktails up with Chelated Iron, cracking green up, plus don't worry about any rain expected it helps activation and it would always be advised to irrigate after application 👍👍 plus the iron will kill off broadleaf weeds if there are any about!!! Great vid mate👌👌

      Hi ian !
      Yeah I’m really happy with how this one went ! Lawns looking great for March, cylinder could of went to it today! Although doing a full kill off to get rid of some of the Fog that sticks out in summer..
      Really just wanted to see how the lawn would look this year keeping on top of it through winter, it’s made a great difference that’s for sure !

    Glad that you're back in 2022. Another Geordie living in Scotland. I'm from Gateshead but have been up here for over 25 years. Looking forward to following your lawn care advice throughout the coming months ahead.

    Looks like a good product mate. Should be more effective in summer as well.

      Yeah mate seems decent considering the conditions, I’m going to see if I can put a post up in a moment as it looks brilliant today 😂

    Awesome job. Garden is looking great for this time of year! Are you going to do a follow up to see how long the color holds?

    Hi Jay, I do more weeding and garden maintenance than specific lawncare but do offer the seasonal granular feeds.
    How difficult is it to do the edging accurately with a strimmer??
    I’m sure you’re making it look easier than it actually is!

    • @JayRockGroundsMaintenance
      @JayRockGroundsMaintenance  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi James ! I have strimmed out the side of my lawn plenty of times practicing, just takes a little practice to get confident with it, I also sometimes use an edging blade which is a lot safer 😄.
      I also find it easier going backwards, some prefer forwards.
      Thanks for commenting James, great to see you on the channel 🙌🏽

    Thanks for the greening tip! My front lawn needs help. I'll try this and see what happens. 👍

    • @JayRockGroundsMaintenance
      @JayRockGroundsMaintenance  Před 2 lety +1

      Definitely ! Remember it will only turn the grass greener, if there is other things like moss and weeds that may need dealt with first, my lawns defo looking much better !💪🏽😄

      Yours looks awesome.
      Well, I don't think it has been resodded in 30 years. It needs a good leveling, a layer of soil and resod. 😂
      But the green up application sounds like it would at least feed the grass.

    Glad you are back. That's a fast green up. 2 questions if I may. What can I use to cure Red Thread and leather jackets. Nothing on the market for the home owner. I have heard that Turfsolv is a good product. Thank you.

    • @JayRockGroundsMaintenance
      @JayRockGroundsMaintenance  Před 2 lety

      Hi Ray ! Thank you! Hopefully if this snow stays away we can slowly build to weekly videos come April/ May. Turfsolv is probably one of the best you will get off the shelf. Also practices like soaking the lawn and laying a black sheet over areas so they come to surface will also help.
      For red thread there is fungicides that can target it, but also staying on top of your fertilisers so there isn’t a lack of nitrogen will massively help too!🌱

      Thank you. What fungicide can the home owner get. I know there was one made by Bayer, but that to has been taken off the market.

    Would you need a spraying licence to use this on customers lawns? Looks a brilliant product.

    • @JayRockGroundsMaintenance
      @JayRockGroundsMaintenance  Před 2 lety +1

      Not for iron no 🙂 you are able to apply this (uk).
      As far as I am aware it is just for pesticides & herbicides where you need to sit the PA1 & PA6 qualification 👍🏼🌱
