I felt the same way, I really enjoyed this video.
Ha! 1st comment I read after mine. Couldn't agree more, bro!
Yes Bradly, I felt exactly the same way. Thank god for good wifi connections and smart phones.
Thumbs up to Kru Faa. Let’s make her a recurring special guest star! What a presence on camera.
I agree
a solid idea dude.
Definitely good idea. She is eyecandy.
So cute
True. Had a good sense of humour. Maybe I'll get lessons from her when I'm able to move to BKK.
Love kru Fah. She has such a good voice and she uses gestures to help students remember. She’s a very good teacher.
Great fun. I now know. How to order a beer, in 257 languages. My education is complete.
hahahah. perfect. that'll get you by pretty much everywhere!
I am Korean, and I love that you had Korean involved in your video. Great job Chris!
You're so chill chris no wonders why everyone likes to hang with and watch your videos
If not for CoVid, this would have been my third year traveling to Thailand. First year, I traveled 2 times. Last year 3 times. While it will make the Thai appreciate you more if you speak their language, it’s not a problem if you can speak the English language. My generation is certainly different from the past. There are Thais who actually understand and speak English. Don’t let the language barrier prevent you from traveling anywhere in this world. Just respect the culture, and you’ll be fine. Everyone now holds a phone with language translator. The Thais are kind, patient, very welcoming, eager and helpful to anyone who needs help-even if you get lost on the streets. Beautiful girls, too. OK, be careful. Lol!!!
Love from India Chris.. This video is an emotion.. I Just Missing Thailand.. i love thailand.. i love Bangkok
HEY THERE, UNFORTUNATELY I ALREADY KNEW ALL OF THOSE WORDS AND I LEARNED THEM WHEN I FIRST CAME TO THAILAND 11 YEARS AGO BUT EVEN MORE UNFORTUNATELY THAT'S ABOUT AS FAR AS I GOT. MOST OF MY THAI FRIENDS AND THE PEOPLE I DO BUSINESS WITH SPEAK ENGLISH OR AT LEAST SOME ENGLISH. SO IT HAS NEVER BEEN A PROBLEM GETTING AROUND.
I HAVE DECIDED THAT I NEED TO LEARN A LITTLE MORE THAI, SINCE I HAVE DECIDED TO SPEND THE REST OF MY LIFE HERE AND DIE HERE. THEY WILL PUT ME IN AN OVEN AND COOK ME UNTIL THERE IS NOTHING BUT ASHES LEFT..
what a funny post!!
Get away from the foreigner hang outs even in parts of Bangkok and what little English there is disappears.
This teacher lady is amazing how she recited the full name of Bangkok. Awesome!
Love this video my friend. I have picked up a lot of those words over my two years here and you are very right. This has made my life here much much easier.
Her smile and spontaneous happiness is magnetic! I watched the video with a smile on my face!
Can highly recommend Duke!! Learned more Thai in 1 week than I had known after numerous visits over the years 👍
I`ve started to learn Thai recently so more like this please!!!! Loving your channel.
You are really kicking ass now with these videos, if I ever get to 14 day quarantine this will keep me sane !!!

Nice video, I am thai This video made me really miss Thailand. I have been living in Australia for 6 years and haven't been back in Thailand yet.
Awesome man! Entertaining and engaging.
Cool vid! Kru Faa is a great teacher and very pleasant to watch. เฮลีย์ Thai is very good. Her Thai pronunciation is just like Thai. It's amazing that she is able to learn Thai pronunciation in 6 months from Kru Faa.
Wow this was a really fun lesson Chris. And I'm proud to say that I knew all of them, except for the ordering food one. But I'm lucky enough to have my wife as a private teacher. ;)
I'm Thai. I like this video very much. It's fun to watch. It's very fun. Let's do this style of video again. Awesome. Thank you.😊😊😊
Awesome video, love your work, Kup 🙏
I love your VDO the abest ! I am a Thai mom has a son who was born in the USA but speak no word of Thai. We live in St. Louis, MO. My son will travel to BKK with his daddy next year in April.
I need him to learn from your VDO so he won't get fooled by Thai strangers around him. Thanks a million for your VDO. It definitely save his money and time while he stay in BKK for a month. Thanks a Million!!
I miss Thailand, hope my CZcams channel will finally pick up more views so I can go there again !
Great video. The taxi driver really had some personality. He reminded me of my first taxi in Thailand. Crew Faa is adorable. You better keep her on speed dial for those days you need a good video idea. I hope to see you guys when I get to travel again.
Good video chris, learn some thai words. Thanks. Hope to get more videos likes this
videos like that.. thats what makes you the best cris
*_Thanks for the lesson, Chris..._* ❤🇹🇭
hey Martin!!!
Hi Chris, that was a good initiative, I learned something new. Kru Faa looks verry kind and beautiful. 😀
This is another most excellent video, thank you.
Kru taxi driver was certainly correct, Kru Fah is certainly suay ngarm........but also rates just as high in personality and "sanook"......and on top of that is extremely gifted in the fine art of thumbs up :)
I was enroled in a CMU course a few years ago and honestly nothing compares with learn and practice in the streets... Kru Fah looks really motivating though... 😊
Yeah i learned Mandarin by myself just living in China.
Such a warm ☺️ nice Taxi Driver, different from Robert De Niro's Taxi Driver🚖🚕🤬🤪
Loved this Chris .I have lost my job because of Covid and am going to concentrate on improving my holiday Thai to a wider vocabularly.Need to learn about shopping words..Hoping to be allowed back in to Thailand early next year. Your videos make me smile.xx
I too lost my job due to COVID, and recently relocated to Bangkok on a retirement visa. It was about the only way I could cope with the rising cost of living. . . . not a bad place to be and I'm glad I was able to make it here. I hope it all goes well for you too :-)
@@JJJJ-gl2uf Wow good luck to you..yes the cost of living in the UK is now going through the roof..Oil and the terrible war in Ukraine..times are bad for a lot of people.Keep loving Thailand x
Definitely a great way to learn basic Thai like this!!
Glad you think so!
Thanks Chris, for the lesson.
I went all the way thru it with you, and all I remembered was the 'thumbs up'! I'll keep trying!
I would also like to add that Chris is doing an excellent job articulating all the words. However you may be confused if you hear a different version of the words taught here. More often than not the letter "r" is omitted from speech and sometimes its replaced with a "l" sound instead. Chris is saying "Krap" but you hardly hear it on the streets. Its more commonly just pronounced as Kap. Similar to "dtrong pai" (go straight) its usually spoken as "dong pai". An example of "R" replacement would be " nee keu arai krap" (which means what is this?) would sound more similar to "nee keu alai kap"
Please more... that's quite awesome. I should learn more languages.
probably the first time in my life that I am tempted to study thai
Great video. I enjoyed this and the condo videos. Subscribed!!!
I think i'm in love with your Thai teacher Chris lol
What a great teacher 👍 🤩
Great content and Fah is so nice. Miss the Thai people so much.
We are enjoying every moment 😂 of the video
That's fun trip for you guys.
She is cool she even did some Thai Rap in the end .( great video’s keep it up I’m a new subscriber)
I am Thai, prefer to use “Khor Beer” instead of “Ao Beer”, khor beer is asking for and ao beer is taking for, it s quite a bit different feeling.
It's one of the most common mistakes that non-Thais make. They don't learn how the language actually is spoken but translate from English.
But when I am asked "Ao arai krub/ka" I am going to answer "Ao beer Chang krub". My personal experience is that the more common Thai (thus the majority) use "Ao" mainly. I'm not saying you are incorrect, I am sure you are certainly correct for your circle of peers & family.
I use all three!
Ao
Khor
Dtong garn!!
Khor is the most polite of all. It equals 'asking for sth' while Ao means 'wanting sth'. Dtong garn is quite formal and = wanting or can be used in the sense of demanding too.
and yet the majority of my 16 years living in Thailand and almost 37 years of visiting Thailand, have been in rural areas. I participate in activities with Thai's such as offroad riding(although less frequently nowadays) and chicken fighting. These are things, especially the latter, that the rural thai man will be involved with......my point is that I hardly ever hear "khor" in these situations. Now these people may be rural but they are still good Thai polite people and just because their speech isn't as formal as city folk doesn't mean they are less polite.
Muay Thai is another area I imagine is similar, as it involves the rural and hard living folk who don't get the easy life on the platter........ although I'm not really into that sport so I am only guessing.
As I said I use all three depending mainly who I m with.
Dtong Garn I use with everyone when I want to express something I would really really like.
"Yak chana huay mai krub?"
"Dtong garn marg marg loei na krub"
Just my take on things.
Thailand is a huge country of almost 70 million people and the culture is very diverse, as is the language. there are so many sub dialects as well.
@@LearnThaiwithShelby I'm Thai ,for me when we ask to buy something we should use 'Aow' instead of 'Khor' because 'Khor' feeling like means you ask something for free. if we say' 'Khor' something from Seller they might play a joke on you by saying "this is not for free ,it's for sell".
Awesome video. Excellent teachers.
this is the best video from you so far....really really loved it.....its informative as well as entertaining....Kaap khun krab
oh wow....thanks!!
Thank you for the lesson and Thai that was great!! Khaawp khun krap. Stay safe. From the US
