At an Indian casino in Iowa. That was a straight 5 card poker no draw against the dealer who qualified with a pair of 2s unbelievable.
I've never hit the Royal live, but I once got raised pre-flop out of a hand I wanted to play, only to flop a straight flush, and the hand had big action. That sucked.

Not true. Firstly the hole cards were dealt one at a time, so Tony's KJ suited was pure luck and neither a miracle or a poor shuffle. Secondly, the 4/5 table diamonds would have to have been left over from some identical previously folded formation, which is way beyond unlikely. As fkn wild as it may seem, that royal flush was actually SHUFFLED INTO PLACE to appear in two coinciding coincidences.

When I was in high-school a friend brought in a poker set to teach me and a few others how to play Texas hold em. First hand I got a jack and a 10 of spades. The final 3 cards ended up being an ace King and queen of spades. Once I showed my hand everyone stood up and left. It's been 10 years since then and haven't pulled a royal flush since.
I was playing a game with my friends dad and a few other people. I was somewhat new and played for fun maybe 5 times for money and knew the rules. I had a royal flush and won maybe $70. Everyone pulled out after that as well. I didn’t quite understand the significance of it and thought they were just tired of the good hands I was getting dealt.

There's no way to build the hand except trips and unless someone else is holding an ace everyone's gonna fold at the sight of one. Plus the fact that for most people laying down pocket aces is too hard to do you end up losing more often than not with that hand. I get tired of seeing it in movies and tv shows like having rockets mean you're gonna win every time and the actor flips his hand over like it's a big deal. Pocket pairs suck ass 99.9% of the time
About the only other possible outs for pocket pairs are four connecting consecutive values on the board or four cards that match the suit of one of the two cards being held. That said, pocket aces are still the best possible pocket pair.
